Swim Jigs

Can you use a regular flip jig or bass jig as a swim jig or do you have to specifically buy the one that says swim jig? Thanks!

You can swim whatever jig you want. A swim jig usually has a narrow grass type head for swimming through vegetation. Where swimming a big football head is more likely to get hung up on the vegetation.

You can use any type of jig, just swim jigs tend to have a different style head and a smaller skirt and lighter weed guard. Also for me I use swim jigs in 1/4 and 5/16oz sizes primarily.
