marinetech Posted August 2, 2012 Posted August 2, 2012 worth every penny. I use alot of cxx and can't imagine not spraying that stuff the night before. Quote
shootermcbob Posted August 3, 2012 Posted August 3, 2012 I spray KVD line & lure on as I am spooling line onto a reel...fairly heavily. I make sure the line gets completely coated. Then I spray each reel down the day before I go fishing. I think it works fantastically well. Quote
Goose21 Posted August 3, 2012 Posted August 3, 2012 I'm a form believer in kd line conditioner....Apply a heathy coat when initially spoiling flouro throughout the reel. I also use seaguar, #15. If you're still having trouble try improving the Indian nit the arrow. Quote
Goose21 Posted August 3, 2012 Posted August 3, 2012 Sorry for all the typos, this smart phone makes me look not so smart so far ! Quote

ipeeinmywetsuit Posted August 3, 2012 Posted August 3, 2012 I'm pretty sure delaware is correct. A lot of these line conditioners are just silicone spray in a 10 dollar 4oz bottle.. this might explain why they neglect to list the ingredients of their line conditioning product. I used some home depot bought silicone spray shot onto a cotton rag and ran the line through it the last time I re-spooled and had good results. However, maybe kvd's is something better? No clue. Super User SirSnookalot Posted August 3, 2012 Super User Posted August 3, 2012 Yes it does work, but so does hot water. Hot water is a bit more temporary, I'll soak my new mono spool for about 15 minutes then spool up my spinning reel, then completely troll my line out before fishing. That's it I'm done. Mono line is only used with certain lures that spin 360 degrees, I will troll my line out at the start of every other outing. I do nothing with braided lines. Quote
Super User rockchalk06 Posted August 3, 2012 Author Super User Posted August 3, 2012 Well there is no doubt its working for people. Hopefully I will notice a difference soon. Quote
Jig Meister Posted August 3, 2012 Posted August 3, 2012 Well there is no doubt its working for people. Hopefully I will notice a difference soon. I was apprehensive when I bought it, but it really did make the 15# Vicious FC less stiff, and cast a little better. I like it, still think it is armor all however, but will use it on my lines I guess as long as I use FC, but I feel like just using MONO for everything is going to be what I do, works best overall I feel. I believe once you re-spool you will see the difference. FWIW, once a week I use it to clean my rods, the eyes, the shaft and the reel. Works great, keeps the stuff working and smooth. Quote
Super User new2BC4bass Posted August 3, 2012 Super User Posted August 3, 2012 It works. I accidentally got some in my hair, it also made that soft and manageable But does it thicken your hair? Mine is too thin to be manageable. Quote
