buzzfrog Posted August 2, 2012 Posted August 2, 2012 just wondering. froggin and pitchen are my favorite, so how many ya own and what are they and or paird with. I have a daiwa ballistic 7'4 with an quantium PT and an Old school american made all-star rod 7'6 rod with a bps PQ. I mainly fish from shore and doubt i need two, but i like to have a creature and a regular jig rigged at all times... heck i am sure the florida boys have more. Seen a vid with Bobby Lane and i beleive he says he has 6. Quote

LunkerLust Posted August 2, 2012 Posted August 2, 2012 I use a Team All Star 7' H rod with a Revo reel for fishing brush hogs in the heaviest slop. And an All Star Platinum also with a Revo for worms and tubes in lighter weeds and pads. Quote
fishhook Posted August 2, 2012 Posted August 2, 2012 Buzzfrog, I always have 3 jigs tied on... swimmin jig, flippin jig and a football jig... I have 3 7'6" St Croix Mojo pitchin rods paired with Lew's Tournament MG reels. All three combos have 65lb Suffix Braid and Flouro leaders to adapt to changing presentations and conditions. Quote
ChiCityBasser Posted August 2, 2012 Posted August 2, 2012 I have one and its a 7'11" Quantum Superlite telescopic rod paired with a Quantum Accurist 101HPT with 50# Cajun Braid but haven't used this combo at all this season. Quote

MT2 Posted August 2, 2012 Posted August 2, 2012 I have a 6' 10" Quantum Tour Elite Tommy Biffle paired with a Quantum Energy e770. I also mostly fish from the bank and find the shorter rod works better for me. Ive thought about adding a Hack series rod but doubt I will honestly. Quote
jwhowells Posted August 2, 2012 Posted August 2, 2012 Mine is a little weird. I came across an old St. Croix Premier Musky rod for free so I use it for my flipping. I can't wait to get a real pitching rod. Quote
Super User Hooligan Posted August 3, 2012 Super User Posted August 3, 2012 I've got 5 rods that are straight flip sticks. 15 rods that are considered jig/plastics rods. Any one of them can be a pitch stick at any time. I have another five that are specifically deep water jig rods that I don't, and won't, pitch a jig with. Quote
