Super User South FLA Posted August 1, 2012 Super User Posted August 1, 2012 I have been down here for about 10 days now and between lobstering, inshore, and offshore fishing I am wore out. I found this great spot in Everglades National Park that has some constant Seatrout action. A spot off "the hump" for blackfin tuna, that we have had an issue with dolphin of the flipper kind eating the tuna on way up. Also, bully netted some lobster during mini-season that we ate with some steak tips, MMMM. Gotta love Florida! If I get a good tide I am gong to go after some tarpon for some rod bending, fish jumping action! 1 Quote
Super User Bassn Blvd Posted August 1, 2012 Super User Posted August 1, 2012 Dang, I'm glad someone is enjoying the heat while the rest of us folk are busting our arsses at work, haha. The steack and lobster are making my mouth water. I'll pass on the trout though. I love catching them but I think they're too mooshy for eating. Quote
Super User SirSnookalot Posted August 1, 2012 Super User Posted August 1, 2012 I like those blackfins, perfect eating size. Heading offshore this morning for a few hours, our fishing here doesn't compare to the keys or further north. Quote
Mrs. Matstone Posted August 1, 2012 Posted August 1, 2012 Great post, nice fish and man that first pic makes me hungry. Quote

JoePhish Posted August 1, 2012 Posted August 1, 2012 Love it, nature's bounty! I spent some time at a buddy's place in Islamorada about a month ago. We fished The Humps and beyond. Hooked into schools of Mahi so vast we could have probably walked on them. Also scored a few Cero Mackerels out there. On top of that we filled our cooler with Yellow Tail and Mangrove Snappers. Also had some fun hooking into a few sharks around the bridge. The variety of species available down there is incredible. The best part about it is you never know what will be at the end of that line. Quote
