BASSHUNTER1961 Posted August 1, 2012 Posted August 1, 2012 I think I just lucked out on a Citica 201E reel..... I walked into Dick's tonight, and see a Citica 201E way in the corner of the display case on sale for $79.00 I check it out, and ask for the owners manual and box. Well guess what, they can't find them. Long story short, I walk out with the reel for $49.00 cause they do not have the paperwork or box. Was this a good deal for a brand new Citica 201E? Does anyone know where I can download the owners manual, I checked online and can not find it anywhere. TIA Quote
Diggy Posted August 1, 2012 Posted August 1, 2012 you won, great deal. I paid 75 at dsg on closeout way back. I saw another with 25% off of that price later on but I didnt buy it. Im sure someone can help you, I would if the boxes werent is storage, I could take pics of the pages Quote
BASSHUNTER1961 Posted August 1, 2012 Author Posted August 1, 2012 They said would have not been able to sell it cause it had no box or paperwork, so they let me have it below cost. I don't know what their cost is but it's probably less than $49.00. Quote
Arv Posted August 1, 2012 Posted August 1, 2012 Found a website that claims you can download owner's manuals for free. May be a little sketchy looking to me and I have no idea if it would have the manual for a fishing reel, but here is the link if you want to take a look for your self. http://produtools.com/d/manuals.php Quote

Funny, I was looking for a Curado 201E and found this Citica tonight by accident. Quote

BASSHUNTER1961 Posted August 1, 2012 Author Posted August 1, 2012 OK, the big question...... Should I flush the bearings and put a drop of Reel Butter on them or use it as is for now? For what I have into the reel, I was thinking of buying a pair of spool bearings and swapping them out, thoughts? Quote
j.bruno Posted August 1, 2012 Posted August 1, 2012 YUP great deal. Got the same deal as you got a while back. Its my favorite reel just because i got it for $45 and it does every thing i need it to do. ID just use it. Mine was the floor model and it was ready to go. Quote
Basswhippa Posted August 1, 2012 Posted August 1, 2012 It is lubed well if not heavily. It is an excellent reel. If you were to want to tinker, you can add a spool shaft bearing vs the plastic bushing and have a reel that is comparable to the $200 ish Chronarch today. Quote

Michael DiNardo Posted August 1, 2012 Posted August 1, 2012 Don't believe those guys, that is not a good reel. I feel badly that you've been taken for your hard-earned $50. Send the reel to me and I will send you $50 and "dispose" of the reel properly. Mike Quote
