I was fishing the day of July 28th which is last week Saturday. I recently order some stuff from Basspro and Tackleware House. I bought 2 bags of Big Bite crawler for a trailer for my bass pro tourney jig 3/8.

I went to a local slough and it connects to the Mississippi River. I threw spinner baits White with Chartuese skirt I had laying in my tackle box. I threw all kinds of spinner baits, had no bite. Speaking of time and forecast, its about 6:30 and about 85 degrees and sunny at this time. So I decided to throw KVD Shallow 2-4 sexy shad ( I think ) and Bombers cranks and nothing. Again, I decided to use my new jig and trailer that I recently bought that I mentioned above. I know theres fish swimming around and I know that they are hungry for something. So now, I just put on a Brown and Orange Bass Pro Tourney 3/8 jig and put on a junebug Big Bite crawler trailer and it has a oily scented and salt on it. I am now flipping to a grassy structure, and now the jig is now in the water and waiting to land to the bottom of the water. I lifted the rod to get the jig movement and all the SUDDEN! Nice hawg is on my new jig. I can see the line twirling back and forth. I finally got to see the bass jumping out of water. The bass did put a good fight with me. The knot was getting untied so I had the bass on the land. I felt so good with the lure and jig. I kept using it for a other 25 mins, I had other one but it was to small. I would say not a even a pound.

Eye candy of the Bass that I caught. 2 pounder.

Thanks for looking!

You found the pattern!

Nice pick. I note the bass has freckels.

Great job and super report.

You have to be flexible and make changes during the day, which you did, and it paid off.
