Super User eyedabassman Posted January 26, 2010 Super User Posted January 26, 2010 I just ordered some Flickt-it jigs and some of the Football Mop jigs! I did fish the Su-Spin and did very well with them last year, I fished Flukes,Hallow swimbaits,Grubs, and Lizards on the Su-Spin. Has anyone tryed any of there baits ? And what do you think of them? Quote
bmadd Posted January 26, 2010 Posted January 26, 2010 It's a great jig with a good hook. The skirts do what they're advertised to do and are tied very securely. I fish them around everything but grass. They catch fish Quote
Thefishy1 Posted January 26, 2010 Posted January 26, 2010 I have yet to try their football jigs, but I have a few of the original mop jigs and love them, definately a big fish bait. You wont catch a lot, but when you do if will usually be a nice un. Quote
Aluma-Bass Posted January 26, 2010 Posted January 26, 2010 Ive never used them but heard great things about the mop jig! I was looking to try them out this season... Quote
shootermcbob Posted January 26, 2010 Posted January 26, 2010 I have never used their products. But they have a way cool name. GO BUCKEYES. ;D Quote

shootermcbob Posted January 26, 2010 Posted January 26, 2010 Touche'. Nice comeback, but I personally don't think that has quite the ring to it ;D Quote

Willzx225 Posted January 26, 2010 Posted January 26, 2010 Their Wake Up wake bait is good and I like their fluke head for small swimbaits and flukes in the colder months. And of course the Mop Jig. I caught my PB jig fish last year on their 3/4oz Football jig (7lbs 12 oz) and look forward to fishing their Mop Football this summer. They make good stuff from what I've experienced. Quote
The Bassinator Posted January 26, 2010 Posted January 26, 2010 The spot remover shaky head jig is made by them and does a good job standing worms and other soft plastics straight up however they do get hung up in rocks and all this talk about buckeyes is crazy! GO BLUE! ;D Quote
shootermcbob Posted January 27, 2010 Posted January 27, 2010 I also like the spot remover. have had some luck with a chigger craw on it. The only bad thing about the spot remover is....it doesn't come in scarlet and gray! Quote
The Bassinator Posted January 27, 2010 Posted January 27, 2010 It would be cool if they could custom paint them... It would just have to be more navy and maize though Quote
Hot Rod Posted January 27, 2010 Posted January 27, 2010 I don't care so much for the original spot remover. It got a lot of bites for me but I lost more fish on it than I should have. I think it's with the "peg" as i don't have that issue with the pro spot removers because of the coil they use instead. I am looking foward to trying out the "mop" jig though. Not sure if they'll send shipments to Happy Valley area though Quote
Super User ww2farmer Posted January 28, 2010 Super User Posted January 28, 2010 I have used both the standard and pro spot removers, and the flick it's. Love the flick it's, didn't care for either of the spot removers, but I fish grass, and there are alot better jig heads for grass. Quote
aarogb Posted January 28, 2010 Posted January 28, 2010 The Spot Remover is the best shakey head on the market. Quote

Try using the Flickt-itwith the Netbait 3 in. twin tail grub or any small plastic. Quote

Hot Rod Posted January 28, 2010 Posted January 28, 2010 Posted by: Dock Master Posted on: Yesterday at 8:50pm The Spot Remover is the best shakey head on the market I used to think that too until I tried the Picasso. JMHO. Quote
Revo_Carrot Stix Posted January 28, 2010 Posted January 28, 2010 I bumped into a regional pro at BPS and he convinced me to purchase the Su-Spins created by Mann Jr (he was not sponsored by Buckeye either) combo'd with the Zoom Tiny Flukes. He said these are deadly @ Lake of the Ozarks. I'm excited to try 'em this Spring. Quote

Not sure if they'll send shipments to Happy Valley area though It's not the peg. It was the size of the hook. I think they have finally decided to go with a 4/0 and 5/0 hook to minimize the lost fish. Atleast that was the rumor around the shop last year. I've got several from a limited run of 1/4oz ones with 5/0 hooks. I have yet to loose a fish on them. Quote
Super User 5bass Posted January 30, 2010 Super User Posted January 30, 2010 The spot remover shaky head jig Fluke, I'm disappointed in you. Aren't you going to address this? Quote
Super User Gatorbassman Posted January 30, 2010 Super User Posted January 30, 2010 Oh man, How did I miss that. OK. The Spot Remover is not a shakey head jig. When used with the shakey technique it absolutely sucks. When you start shaking it you will notice that it falls on it's side. It is a pure stand-up jighead. It was origionally designed by Dr Roy Autman as a jig for fishing those areas that have nothing on the bottom. You hop it, you don't shake it. It has since evolved into a great jighead for fishing brush as well. It does not do well in rocks. There are better jigheads for that like a picasso. Quote
Super User 5bass Posted January 30, 2010 Super User Posted January 30, 2010 There it is. I feel better now. Quote
