Hey all....

I know that Aaron Martens scroungers went out of business (the website is no more) but Bass Pro Shops is now selling Luck E Strike scroungers that look exactly the same. Did Martens and Co. sell the idea/lure to Luck E Strike? I know hat BPS can't keep them in stock and they are flying off the website. Not in the stores yet.....

Sworming Hornet makes them now. I bet they are better quality and not like the busted you were getting this summer Alan.

They've made them for almost two years now and I can tell you from experience that they aren't as good.  The bills fold back and the hooks aren't as sharp.  The head itself does look better but the bait itself is not as good.

I just read the post from the other board.  In response to what was said on that board, the heads are the exact same.  I held a pack of the 1/4 oz in my hands the other day and they are still made in USA and the word scrounger is still in the same logo as it was on the old packs.

Thanks for the info. I didn't realize Hornet made them for that long.

I just make my own! A little Lexan, epoxy, jighead, drillbit, and soft plastic!

If they are half way decent, you could make a ton of money. Show us a photo....

Fo sho. It is just that certain parts of the country get things before others. The whole Scrounger thing was a pretty tight lipped deal until Zona opened his fat mouth last year ;D

Tin...

Just ordered a new stash for the spring ;).

These are harder to find than chicken knuckles!!!

I was able to pick some up recently as well.  Wouldn't mind seeing them hard to find for a while now!  I guess that's pretty selfish of me...

Are they really all that good?

I have never seen them in Indiana. This may be a new look to show the little fishies up here.

It's not a magic bait by any means, just a good bait in the right situation that not many people knew about.
