jparisi48 Posted July 28, 2012 Posted July 28, 2012 Hey guys, long time reader first time poster. I want to take my dad somewhere that has excellent bass fishing. He works all the time and I want him to feel good about catching a nice pig bass. He has so many stories and good spots from 10 to 20 years ago, but everytime we go to them everything has changed. Houses everywhere, trash in the water ect. I know you guys are finicky about giving away awesome spots or secret places, but I would appreciate it if you could help me and my dad have a nice time on the water for once( things dont usually work out as nicely as planned). P.S We catch and release, use 2 small 10 ft kayaks, and are respectable people we leave with what we came with, dont leave trash behind, cause rukus ect. Dont post your spot for everyone to see just PM me, I keep secrets ; ) We will probably only hit the spot once, I have a pond right next to my house i usually fish, I just want to get my dad out there to feel the fight of a nice fish again. Thank you to anyone who helps us out! Quote
Backwoodsbasser Posted August 22, 2012 Posted August 22, 2012 A couple spots in s nh one is wash pond in hampstead. It's a small pond about 100 acres. Tons of decent bass smallmouth and largemouth You put a couple hours in on the water and you will have a decent stringer avg lm is about 1.7lbs good healthy fighting fish. Also years back the nh state am record was caught there along the rocks at wash pond Rd on the west bank. A small pond that connect that pond and big island pond another great fishery wih all types of structure called shop pond only about 30acrea some hawgs in there as well I've pulled some 5lber from there just had a weed management treatment done so fish may be off but black blue jigs w craw trailers will do it at those places. Also massabesic lake in Manchester and auburn is a great bass fishery in s nh. Lots of good info on the web about massabesic Charlie Moore has done some shoots for his shows on it as well. Fish and game is all over here though it's Manchesters water supply for drinking so no wading hope that helps you and your dad. Let me know how it goes Quote
