Soft Plastic Swimbait

So as I get ready to really start fishing again I'm looking to use some more swimbaits this year.  I would prefer to use soft plastics just because I can bury the hook in the back and make it a mostly weedless rig.  What baits would you guys recommend that looks similar to a Golden Shiner.  They are killer live baits down here, and I need something that my daughters can use.  Live shiners get expensive after a while...

I'm also in Florida, and this would be our preference order for soft swimbaits:

1) Berkley Hollow-Belly

2) Basstrix Paddletail Swimbait

3) Luck "E" Strike Bass Magic

Many of the other brands we've tried either tear-out too easily (junk plastic)

or have a labored or erratic swimming action.

I use the swimming senko and i also  got my hands on the new swimmin fluke and those work excellent too.

Luck E Magic Swimbaits are the most reasonably priced and work solid for me. They have a decent size and color selection.

Ghost Baits.  He has alot of unique colors.  Sexy shad and bluegill are my favorite

Thanks for the suggestions guys.  I do have a couple bags of swimmin senkos in my bag and have had some success with them.  For a pair of 6 year olds they aren't necessarily as durable a bait as young kids need.

Nick, I plan on picking up a few packs of swimming flukes as soon as I can get them.

That Huddleston minnow in the AYU pattern looks great.  I'll probably grab a couple of those.  I may also pick up some of those Berkley Hollow-Bellys.

Luck "E" Strike Bass Magic swimbaits put ALOT of LMB and SMB in my boat last season. When they weren't available, Strike King Shadilicious filled in nicely.

I've tried the money minnow, shadalicious, BasstrIx, Berkely and the best I've used is made by a small company called Pro Swimbaits which are also made in the U.S.A.

Wise decision.

My wife and I have fished them quietly for the past couple of seasons,

and they were responsible for a boatload of bass over 3 lbs.

I now see that the redfishermen in Florida are using hollow bellies too.

Brian Velvic recently shot off his mouth about the hollow-belly being his favorite soft swimbait.

KVD who works for Strike King, came real close when he recommended any hollow swimbait

which kevin admitted he is fishing more-and-more (I suppose that means less & less spinnerbaits).

In a swimbait video made by Al & Jim Lindner they were catching GIANT northern bass

using Berkley hollow-belly swimbaits.

As I write this, the NorthAmerican Fisherman is airing a show on Versus,featuring two fellows

on Guntersville who're matching threadfin shad with Berkley's 4 hollow-belly swimbaits.

My wife's favorite size is 5", mine is 6", but my wife catches more bass on the 5" size.
