buzzfrog Posted July 26, 2012 Posted July 26, 2012 finally pulled out some chatter baits this evening, Both of my booyah chatterbaits had a real bendable hook, one almost to the point, I thought i was gonna snap it, Is this how the booyahs are made? or did a get a crap lot. Second question is who makes a good chatterbait, i have had Zman before and both times i bought them, there hooks were dull as a butter knife. Quote
Super User deep Posted July 26, 2012 Super User Posted July 26, 2012 I won't know about chatterbaits, but my booyah jigs all have sticky sharp and reasonably strong hooks right out of pack. Quote
Zeeso Posted July 26, 2012 Posted July 26, 2012 Yes that is how they are made. It is made that way so it makes it harder for the fish to throw the hook. I have a few of them but haven't really used them yet. I have a lot of the original z-man chatters. Yes they are poorly made, but they catch fish more times then not for me. I really wish z-man would upgrade their hooks, that is the only real issue I have with them currently. Quote
buzzfrog Posted July 26, 2012 Author Posted July 26, 2012 thanks, i can fish them with confidence now, so when i miss another i cant blame the bait lol Quote
