OK, want to go try punch skirts with plastics this weekend. Problem is that you don't get skirt hubs here by us so I had to diy.

Got some skirts, plastic tube(part of some old carp gear I had), small o ring and a bullet weight.

If you melt the ends of the plastic tube they curl up making a nice mushroom shaped end. Cut to size and add the o ring at the bottom as extra security. And here are the results.

And then I made some more.

I will be giving them a try this weekend.

Looks great!

So does the tube go through the weight? The tube looks pretty big for the hole of the weight...

I tried to do with a straw came with juice pack which I asked my daughter to save. The straw was very small diameter, so that I can put the skirt over it easily.

Yes the tube goes through the weight. I drilled the hole to the correct size. Another thing one can use is lollipop handles. They make them from a thin thick plastic tube these days.

I think one can make them without the weight and just slide the weight on afterwards but I like the all in one hub.

I made myself some skirt hubs a while back out of a wooden dowel rod, drilled them out and notched them to hold the skirt better they worked great for about 30-40 fish and then usually broke but try we're like 6 cents a peice and IMO I like to have the weight adjustment without having to use a diff colored skirt. But they look great man what weight are they ?
