My god, I was riding to the corner store, and it broke :cry3:

Time to put it on craigslist for parts, because repairing any chinese model will be a hassle is what i've been told.

Guess i'll just take what I make and do some payments for something american, that I can get at a dealer hopefully. :scared:

Lesson learned. China is NOT the answer.

Its not a Wildfire brand is it? if so HAHA at you...

Well, he wagered some impeccable dentures I just couldn't resist, man those were some nice chompers.... :MSN-Emoticon-129:

But seriously, I was just putting along at a nice solid 10 mph, and the motor make some weird noise and then... Death. Wouldn't work for poop. Me and my dad tested all the batteries and connections, but that sketchy china motor just wouldn't go. No return policy either, we bought it used

Good thing I could pedal back, LOL. Now I just have an expensive bike, AND no money.

I'll go look at some real gas ones on Thursday, I'll have to spend more, but hopefully less than $50 a month for a while, plus it should have a warranty.

I found you a new scoot. It's not black and silver but should work for ya.

Now that is gnar. I think its pretty cool.

Now the question is, can you bunny hop on it?

Wow I don't think I've heard anyone else say gnar outside of my group of friends in a long time.

That's awesome.

That sucks that the scooter broke man, but don't blame it on the China motor.

I've got a 110cc pit bike from China and that thing hauls.

If I were you I would get a little crf50 and make it street legal.

It's not hard and it will go a little faster than that scooter.

On a side note, we went to a dealer today to look, cheapest was 2200 otd with all the fee's, etc. Me and my parents are still deciding if they want to finance it and I can pay them, or to go used again for a china through craigslist.

I'm thinking dealer, just because name brand ones parts are always available and they can be serviced there.

Could you guys picture BC on his wheels saying..."Hey good lookin', I'll be back to pick you up later."... You old farts, remember that commercial...

2200 for a moped. You are 15 right? Why dont you save that money for a car? For 2200 in my neck of the woods you can buy a car that could last you through college. My first car was 1 grand at 17. It had 130,000 on it. It lasted me intill I got hit at 23. At 16 you do not need any thing fancy or new for a car. Chances are you will wreck it by 17 any way.

Your insurance might be cheaper with four wheels. If it is not it should be pretty close to what four wheels would cost you. Sorry you are in that high risk class. Plus two wheels even with a moped. It is more dangerous.

Well, that's brand new. I'm think a used one from the dealer. And no, im 17. I would rather buy a car, but the cost to put me as the primary driver for that car, plus gas, etc, I dont make enough money for that.

And as for mopeds, there is no need for insurance. So I would not have another monthly bill. And not to mention 140 MPG for a 50cc

haha. Wildfire is a chinese company that makes scooters, fourwheelers, dirtbikes, side by sides, generators, motorcycles, motor powered bicycles, etc. Theres a HQ in PA and my uncle and his friend got dealer licenses. my uncle just wanted to get a few cheap four wheelers, his friend wanted to open up a shop and sell them. My uncle didnt get in too deep and sold off a few and kept one good four wheeler. his friend bought a ton of stuff and it kept coming in with missing parts, broken parts, not running, etc and you couldnt even get the parts to fix it. Yet the dumb guy kept buying more and more and lost a bunch of money in the deal...

i think tipptruck is right, buy a car instead. hell i got a used pickup(91 chevy w/t1500) for $1000 a few years ago and it still runs great, though it has needed a part here or there. at your age you should be thinking a car, put it in your parents name, list them as the primary driver. you would be able to get to lakes over 20 miles away too. you should rethink your position. you can get a great running used car for 3,500 if you shop around. you already struck out on a scooter, why go down that road again

Believe me, i'd much rather have a car. But my parents wont do that for me, they're strict by the rules type of people. Plus, insurance, I would be broke.

If it'll only do 18 mph, you really would be better off just getting a bike. Plus it'll help you with lacrosse.

I actually sold the one in this thread. Money towards a 50 cc, top speed of about 45, legally 35.

Man up homie. If your getting a two wheeled vehicle get a Harley. Older ones can be had for relatively cheap. They run forever and plus if you have the look you look staraight gnardog riding it. I still miss my chopped pan head. That baby turned heads, and was a panty dropper like you've never seen.

Yea but if he can not afford the car insurance. There will be no way he can afford the bike insurance. Bikes usually a lot more then 4 wheels.

Yep, my dad used to have a Harley so I know how expensive the insurance was.
