My New Whip

My new ride to get me to work and back, is a used street legal E-Scooter haha. Insurance costs way too much until I get a hard-copy of my liscence, (Which I dont understand, it doesn't affect anything), so until that happens I got an E-Scooter to get me to work, which is 3 miles, and back.

Its a scooter with two batteries, and pedals just in case. But get this, the top speed? a whopping 18 MPH!!!

I'm sure people will love me going 15 in the right hand lane, in a 40.

Does anyone know If I can just ride in the safety lane? I'm assuming it's illegal, but people on bikes do it.

But anyways, I dont have to rely upon my dad to come get me at 10:30 at night now! He's stoked, because his bed time is 8:30.

I do not know the laws were you are. But out here and in many states. If it is a street legal. You have to be 16. With vaild plates insurance, and a vaild DL. Once you get your real DL. Insuance gos up big time. My dads went up over 75 bucks when I turned 15. When I turned 16 it went up 125.

Hers the best part off getting older. My pos 87 cavalier cost 150 a month 17. That was just in case I hit some one. I turned 27 last week. Just for fun I got some quotes for a 2013 mustang gt. With what my state requries. IT was 160 full coverge for like six months. on a spotless record.

Not trying to bring you down. Just the facts of life. Teenagers are horrible drivers. I was one of them. Today I am not a horrible driver. But a very agressive driver. Kind have to be were I live. Plus my little turbo hot rod is fun to drive. I will not tell you what I do for fun. But put it this way. I have caught small mouth over 5lbs. That is no were as exciting as what I do with my car. Nothing beats auto x or lapping days at RA.

Actually in VA, as long as it goes under 35 no license, plates, or insurance is needed. Its just slow, LOL. I have a valid real license anyways, its just a piece of paper they give you in VA, but you have to wait so many months before you can get your plastic card (Which I dont understand)

Yes I have seen people on gas mopeds pretty munch decked out like that. The only thing there were missing was the music. That is worst then seeing rice riders wearing Harley gear.

The reason is that a person with a drivers license has taken and passed the minimum standards test for the safe operation of a motor vehicle.

To avoid tickets by taking advice from bass fisherman, I would suggest asking a local traffic cop in your STATE. You could also possibly find the answer by going to your local driver license bureau. You can also google the traffic laws for your state.

I can give you the regulations for Florida but that may not help you in Va.

Time to put it on craigslist for parts, because repairing any chinese model will be a hassle is what i've been told.

Guess i'll just take what I make and do some payments for something american, that I can get at a dealer hopefully.

Lesson learned. China is NOT the answer.

Well, he wagered some impeccable dentures I just couldn't resist, man those were some nice chompers....

But seriously, I was just putting along at a nice solid 10 mph, and the motor make some weird noise and then... Death. Wouldn't work for poop. Me and my dad tested all the batteries and connections, but that sketchy china motor just wouldn't go. No return policy either, we bought it used :facepalm:

Good thing I could pedal back, LOL. Now I just have an expensive bike, AND no money.

I'll go look at some real gas ones on Thursday, I'll have to spend more, but hopefully less than $50 a month for a while, plus it should have a warranty.
