Go with the Gambler Giggy head post head instead of the screw lock.  They also have the screw lock available.

I should clarify. It can't have a post either.

I like the Strike King, Bite Me, Tru Tungsten, and Bagley heads, but good lord are they expensive.

I've even looked at do-it molds but don't see what I'm looking for.

Maybe my only choice will be to fork out the $$$$$

Did you try heating up the post/screw-loc with a lighter?

Or Bagleys and I also use the 3X finesse worms. Price is similar but Bagleys gives you 4, Strike King gives you 3 painted, or 4 unpainted.

Evo's are probably the best but a tad more expensive. They also will stand a regular plastic bait up better.

So far and I 've purchased from several brands to try, I haven 't found a single non screw shakey head that keeps the bait attached to the head, the bait most of the times simply slides from the bait keeper when a fish bites and what gets ripped and broken is the head of the bait, the next time you insert the head on the bait keeper once it 's torn on the first fish just keeps popping off.

So back to pouring my own, now that Do-it has a mold for shakey heads it 's easier all you do is get the hooks, the bait keeper and the lead.

I use these too ,I've caught a lot of fish on them.The only issue I have with them is they do not come through grass too well , that's why I'm thinking about trying the Omega heads I posted about earlier

in the sparse grass I fish and the Spot Removers for everything else.

I agree with you 100% And I won't abandon screw locs entirely.

But for ElaZtec worms you can't screw them on. They are so durable, I'm not worried about them tearing on the barb.

I haven't tried heating the screw lock, as was suggested, and I really don't think I want the hassle.

I wish do-it sold a multi head mold. Tube heads in 1/8, 3/16, 1/4, shakey heads in 1/16 and 1/8, and cone head weedguard jig in 3/8oz.

Now THAT would be the perfect mold.

As it is, I can get all other jig heads so cheap, it just won't make sense to pour my own.

They are also my favorite, and there is a neat, quick, and simple fix.

It takes three things. A candle, a safety pin, and a match or lighter.

Heat the pin in the candle flame. Center it on the head of the SK finesse worm and press it into the head along the centerline to a depth of 3/4" - 1" deep. Can do a pack in a couple of minutes.

Use a thin safety pin. You can use a needle, but you'll need to hold it with pliers, or you'll get burned. The heat doesn't conduct well beyond the loop of the safety pin.

When you put it on a barbed post like the ShakE2 jig head, apply a drop of super glue. It will stay there until you lose the rig.

Try the four inch coppertruese worm. I use it for shaky head fishing, and drop shotting as well.

I don't use it exclusively for drop shotting, but I do for shaky head fishing.

Neat, clean, quick. No fuss, no muss.

I use these, they are actually cheaper at walmart.  I have never had a problem with hook sharpness or quality.
