SnookOne Posted January 23, 2010 Posted January 23, 2010 So...what is your lure of choice for when the weather warms up and the bass are ready to feed? Quote
aarogb Posted January 23, 2010 Posted January 23, 2010 When they are shallow it's hard to beat a square-billed crankbait. Quote
Stringjam Posted January 23, 2010 Posted January 23, 2010 Like pre-spawn warm? As soon as the water gets into the mid-high 40's, I'll be throwing Pointer 100's and suspending / slow float flatsided cranks. If the water is dingy I'll definitely have a jig on. Quote
WdyCrankbait Posted January 23, 2010 Posted January 23, 2010 In ideal conditions, give me a Zara Spook any day of the week!! Quote
JigMe Posted January 23, 2010 Posted January 23, 2010 If nothing works. my watermelon senko usually work... Quote
flippin and pitchin Posted January 23, 2010 Posted January 23, 2010 Speed Trap in Crystal Craw if cover allows. Yum Dinger after that. Quote
PondHunter Posted January 23, 2010 Posted January 23, 2010 A 1/8th oz Black Jighead with a Yellow Eye, dressed with either a Smoke/Fleck or Pumpkinseed grub. Quote
simplejoe Posted January 23, 2010 Posted January 23, 2010 Pitching a 7" ribbiontailed worm in red shad color, in structure. Quote
shootermcbob Posted January 23, 2010 Posted January 23, 2010 Shad colored skirt on double willow spinnerbait Quote
Super User Crestliner2008 Posted January 23, 2010 Super User Posted January 23, 2010 Depends on what I'm fishing for. If LM bass is my target, then a 6" Senko. If SM, 4" Roboworm. Quote
Radical Conservative Posted January 23, 2010 Posted January 23, 2010 I feel comfortable with any crankbait on the market as long as it says 'Norman' on the package. Quote
hmongkidBee Posted January 23, 2010 Posted January 23, 2010 burning a spinnerbait! X2 or swimming a jig Quote
Super User bassfisherjk Posted January 24, 2010 Super User Posted January 24, 2010 Zoom Trick Tail worm,T-rigged.As for colors,watermelon/chart.,"Big Texan",or black Quote
Sherlock 60 Posted January 24, 2010 Posted January 24, 2010 1) Senko, watermelon with red and black flake; 2) Bomber Square A in Oxbow Bream. Quote
angler1 Posted January 24, 2010 Posted January 24, 2010 A jig with either a paca, smallie beaver, or sweet beaver trailer. Color depends on the clairty of the water. Brown and black in 40+ degree is what I prefer. Quote
SkilletSizeBass. Posted January 24, 2010 Posted January 24, 2010 I have to try the old faithful Bomber model 6a redfire craw ;D Quote
bass or bass ? Posted January 24, 2010 Posted January 24, 2010 Any and all of these. 1. Carolina rigged watermellon lizard 2. Storm WildEye Swim Shad in shad color 3. Booyah spinnerbait 4. Jitterbug in leopard frog pattern Quote
SWMIBASSER Posted January 26, 2010 Posted January 26, 2010 Swiming a jig, or grub, or a split shot or "mini Carolina rig Jerkbaits, suspending or soft. I don't fish spinner baits any more. Cranks are more efficient at covering water, and I have a combo, and assortment, but not really my go-to... Quote
