id go with the baby hog as well but also the super hogs are very good too, i rig the baby brush on 3/16 weight and 2/0 hook the super hog which is short and fat i use a 5/0 trokar it is perfect to go right thru the legs and just pinch into the plastic summer craw and any black and blue combo works great for me in stained water.

Thanks for all of the posts. I will be going to Bass Pro tomorrow and get some. I have also heard of these things called Fat Ikas. How would I fish them? Sorry for asking another question, I just thought it would be better to just ask here then to do another post. Sorry if this is asked alot.

It is always best to start another thread when changing the subject. Notice no one answered your question in this thread.

Sorry, but I can't help you much either. Mike of DVT gave me the only one I have. He already had it hooked so that the tail came first. Hooked either way should be fine. These are round, compact baits that cast a mile. I've fished the one I have off the bottom. Not caught anything on it yet, but that is probably because of 2 reasons. 1: I haven't been out much the past 2 years, and 2. I haven't fished it much when I was out. I seem to have my best luck with spinnerbaits. I've got quite a few plastics, but except for 10 inch worms in Florida, the number caught on plastics has been few. Unfortunately where I fish locally "few" is the norm. I would like to purchase a few more to try, but it is going to have to be an Online order because my local DSG's doesn't carry them.

If I were you, I would start another thread on the Fat Ikas. I'd like to read a bit more about them as they appear to be a bait not easily torn up. Excellent casting distance doesn't hurt their appeal either. :)

I would vote for the big Brush Hog. I do VERY well with the big Hog up here in Wi. For me they bite the big Hog better that the Baby. I like to fish then on a T-with a 1/8 oz weight or C-rig with a 1/2 oz. weight.
