Crowcommander Posted January 20, 2010 Posted January 20, 2010 I love the Revenge spinnerbaits also, especially the 1 oz,I have lost a few fish on them because of the R bend though. Its bad when you reel in and have only the spinners left.Crowcommander Quote

Super User Fishes in trees Posted January 22, 2010 Super User Posted January 22, 2010 What brand or brands is your local tackle store selling? That's where I'd start. My experience is that some of the spinnerbaits I get in local tackle stores aren't cheaply made at all. Quote
Primus Posted January 22, 2010 Posted January 22, 2010 S.O.B Mini Me PJ Special skirt 3/8 oz. tandem with # 4 Willow/# 2 Colorado" dusted" silver/gold blades to cut down on the flash this combo will slay 'em in shallow water around grass cover. Also was impressed with the 1/2 oz Black Rattlehead spinnerbaits with a single colorado that I tried last year for night fishing. I also do good at times with a 1/4 Nichols spinnerbait that I modified by shortening the wire and using 1 3.5 size willow blade, good finnese bait in the spring. There certainly is not a single spinnerbait that is appropiate for all situations but these are 3 combo's that have really produced for me. Quote

I don't like the thought of shopping everywhere for a couple of lures, but it appears that I will have to. Quote
A-Rob Posted January 23, 2010 Posted January 23, 2010 i use booyah mainly and a couple by strike king. Booyah got the best bang for the buck up here in Canada, they don't have reasonable prices for Terminator's....I need to make a run for them down to Dick's in Buffalo. I have no complaints with the booyahs over the years, and none so far with Strike King Quote
texlwedge Posted January 23, 2010 Posted January 23, 2010 Secret Weapon Lures Spinners here. I get the kits that have the bodies, skirts, and a selection of different blades that can be mixed and matched to suit the conditions. That means I don't have to purchase all the different types of spinnerbaits just to get different blade or skirts. Not only that, but they catch fish! Quote
spinerbait man Posted January 23, 2010 Posted January 23, 2010 I prefer the old crankbait brand, I replaced the plastic blade with a gold or silver depending on skirt color. Cant find them anymore so i use bass pro baits, IT MUST BE single colorodo,1/4 or 3/8 oz, white or chartruse depending on water clarity. Thats all I use and very rarely go fishless. I do use other baits as conditions dictate but I prefer sloww roling that spinner Quote
kybassfreak Posted January 24, 2010 Posted January 24, 2010 Good luck with Strike King KVD series on KY Lake. Quote
hookset Posted January 24, 2010 Posted January 24, 2010 Hawg Callers, manns hank parker classics( I know you can get them at walmart but they are an awesome spinnerbait, and last but not least Fat Ratz.http://www.fatratzlures.com/ this guy makes an awesome bait. Quote
RyneB Posted January 25, 2010 Posted January 25, 2010 I use all kinds;strike king, terminator, booyah, lazer eyes. I have had success on all of them, but if i had to choose one i would choose the War Eagle Finesse. Its a smaller profile, but very castable with a baitcaster and 10lb mono. I throw swim jigs 80 percent of the time im on the water so the spinnerbait has kind of taken a backseat on the list. Quote
