Vinny Chase Posted July 16, 2012 Posted July 16, 2012 Who had the best price on the orange seal? Also, is there is difference in size between the Curado and Citica series 200 bearings? Thanks, VC Quote
Vinny Chase Posted July 16, 2012 Author Posted July 16, 2012 I know on the E series they are the same size. Perfect. Thanks. Quote
Super User J Francho Posted July 16, 2012 Super User Posted July 16, 2012 I prefer the bearings that Dawn carries at Smooth Drags. Less expensive, they have metal shields, and as fast as OS, if not faster. Quote
Delaware Valley Tackle Posted July 16, 2012 Posted July 16, 2012 I extend a 10% discount to forum members $29.95 - 10% = $26.96/pr Quote

Super User J Francho Posted July 17, 2012 Super User Posted July 17, 2012 Do you have a link to that page? Which ones do your prefer? The Stainless Steel bearings are a VERY good replacement for shot OEM bearings. Much more affordable, too. If you want some extra performance, and have the ability to use the speed, the ABEC 7 Ceramic Hybrids are excellent. I have them in two TD-Sols and a a JDM Alphas. I do think I get longer casts with crankbaits, and the Alphas is set up on a ML/XF light jig and worm rod. Start up and pitching light jigs and plastics is very good, so long as you use a light oil, like Met-ol or Yellow Rocket Fuel. Just remember, light oil means more maintenance. Everything comes with a price. Quote
BradH Posted July 17, 2012 Posted July 17, 2012 The ABEC 5 metal shield Ceramic Hybrids they have are nice too and not much more than the SS bearings. Quote
KevO Posted July 17, 2012 Posted July 17, 2012 I ordered some directly from BOCA during their Black friday sale last year 50% off. I bought 8 sets. Of course, my credit card # was also compromised by them too but that's another story.... Quote
Delaware Valley Tackle Posted July 17, 2012 Posted July 17, 2012 If stainless ABEC 5 are what you want my members price is $13.46 / pair (which is actually less). Quote
