kwhorne19 Posted July 16, 2012 Posted July 16, 2012 I am coming up with a list of possible anniversary gifts for myself and I need tackle bag suggestions.... I am looking for something that can handle around 7-8 boxes, what are you guys using - let me know, preferably under $50... Thanks... Quote
Super User Fishes in trees Posted July 16, 2012 Super User Posted July 16, 2012 3700 size boxes? Medium sizes boxes? Smaller boxes? Makes a difference which tackle bag you get. Me, I have a bunch of different sized table bags and I use them all. But then, I keep a bunch of gear locked up in my truck between fishing trips. Multiple tackle bags half full are easier for me to keep organized than one or two bags stuffed full. I'd say, just pull out your BPS/Cabelas/Gander Mountiain and your credit card and pick one. Quote
Highhawk1948 Posted July 16, 2012 Posted July 16, 2012 If you are like me I carry too much stuff. Use 2 or 3 color/type worms but carry 30 -40 bags ub a worm bag. I am going to get a small tacklebag and only put in it what I fish. Then I won't spend time looking thru stuff I don't use. Good luck with your shopping. Quote
dgretz Posted July 16, 2012 Posted July 16, 2012 The only way to go: http://www.basspro.com/Bass-Pro-Shops-Utility-Box-Carriers/product/59192/70523 You can pull out any box without having to dig through a stack of 'em. allows you to easily swap boxes depending upon the techniques you plan to use for the day. Heck, get 2! Quote

Bryce C Posted July 17, 2012 Posted July 17, 2012 I use an old version of the cabela's advanced angler pro series magnum bag.......super well built holds 8 3700 and 3 3600 series boxes. I have had mine for about 12 years and it is still holding up. I like this bag a lot because it is easy to organize and it stands up the boxes so they take up less floor space in the boat. Quote
Super User OkobojiEagle Posted July 17, 2012 Super User Posted July 17, 2012 get a small tacklebag and only put in it what I fish. Then I won't spend time looking thru stuff I don't use. deserves repeating oe Quote
Jig Meister Posted July 17, 2012 Posted July 17, 2012 I got a Plano tackle bag, the medium, the side pockets are tearing on the inside already, I have had this bag since late may. Will not buy another one of those. I would spend a little more and get something that will stand up better, maybe the tackle warehouse backpack, looks to me made well. but TBH, more and more I feel like just buying a good North Face or Columbia pack pack for what you need, and maybe a duffle for the boat would be the best because those companies make good products that last. At least in my experience with them. Quote
