bleedingshrimp Posted July 16, 2012 Posted July 16, 2012 Anybody recommend a good worm for drop shotting, shakey head, and possibly carolina rig? That is a worm equally suitable to each application for simplicity's sake. Quote

Super User roadwarrior Posted July 16, 2012 Super User Posted July 16, 2012 Why restrict yourself to one worm? Quote
Super User MCS Posted July 16, 2012 Super User Posted July 16, 2012 I just found unopened pack of zoom original trick worm in watermelon seed. These things are huge. Any body cut the 7 inch down Yes I cut them down and they still work. Usually cut the end off if it tears, you can get away with that 2 or 3 times. but I have cut them down to 3" for my son and it would catch dinks but he was happy. IMO the trick worm is the best action for all techniques versus price and amount. you get 20 trick worms for half the price of 10 stinkos that tear in half after 1 fish. Edit: when you cut them they will tend to pick up mor weeds, since the nice bullet shape is gone, but they will "push" more water, you also play with the angle you cut them too. 45 degree down it slides through weeds better, 45 degree up it pushes the worm a little deeper, and stright 90 up/down cut pushes the most water for disturbance. Highhawk1948 Posted July 16, 2012 Posted July 16, 2012 5 inch Zoom Finess Worm, in my waters it's Watermelon-Red Quote
Super User Crestliner2008 Posted July 16, 2012 Super User Posted July 16, 2012 Hard to beat a nose hooked 4" Roboworm on the drop shot; along with a 3" Senko, wacky rigged.. I would carolina/texas rig a Zoom Trick worm. And just for general productivity, the green pumpkin Senko. I don't think I could live with on one worm though! Even this list makes me uneasy. Quote
Super User Darren. Posted July 16, 2012 Super User Posted July 16, 2012 Another Zoom Finesse and Trick worm vote. But also a Senko fan. And also agree with roadwarrior, why restrict yourself to just one? Quote
mikey5string Posted July 16, 2012 Posted July 16, 2012 4" aaron's magic roboworm. Out performs any other DS bait I have tried. For shakey head, the Zoom trick worm. I use motor oil. Quote
