BASSHUNTER1961 Posted July 16, 2012 Posted July 16, 2012 I've been using BPS Tournament Series Stick-O-Worm for some time now, and really like them but the quality seems to have taken a turn. I just purchased 10 bags of the 5 5/8" and found 3 of the 10 bags were not to my liking. I found them to be harder and stiffer, just not as flexible as the others or the ones I've bought in the past. I think I will return but feel they will think I'm just making a big deal out of nothing, but whatever. Would you return them or would you just suck it up and use them? I know I will be checking each bag from now on. It's just that I spend a lot of money at BPS and don't feel bad to bring them back an complain. Rant over. Quote
Super User K_Mac Posted July 16, 2012 Super User Posted July 16, 2012 I buy a lot of Stick-os (among other things) and have not had a problem with them. I would not hesitate to take/send the ones that are not up to standards back for replacement. One of the good things about BPS is their customer service. They have always resolved any issues I have had fairly. Quote
Global Moderator Mike L Posted July 16, 2012 Global Moderator Posted July 16, 2012 I'd take them back. If anyone there knows what they're looking at I'm sure you won't have a problem. Mike Quote
Super User Marty Posted July 16, 2012 Super User Posted July 16, 2012 I'd return them. You have the right to expect quality and consistency when you shell out your money. And the more that people do this the more efforts that will be made to improve products. If enough people have complaints about Stik-O's (or anything else) you can be sure that BPS will have a few words with their supplier. Quote
tritonguy Posted July 18, 2012 Posted July 18, 2012 I have been using them a lot this year with good success. Yes I would take them back if you feel something is wrong with them. Quote
Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted July 18, 2012 Global Moderator Posted July 18, 2012 I buy quite a few of the 4" version for shakeyheads and haven't had a problem. I'd probably just trade them for a new bag. Quote
paulmandude Posted July 20, 2012 Posted July 20, 2012 over the years, from what i understand, they have changed formulations multiple times. when i first bought them 6+ years ago i'd get 20 to a pack. then they went to 18 a pack and made them a little softer with not as much action and slower sink rate in my opinion. since then, they have gone to a 16 pack with the new 8-up scent. havent bought the new ones yet but maybe that's why they are different to you? BASSHUNTER1961 Posted July 22, 2012 Author Posted July 22, 2012 My son and I went to BPS today to return the Sticks O's...... every bag was the same, not pliable and way too firm. The funny thing is, it's only the red shad color that has this problem. I checked most of the other colors, and they were very soft and pliable. I just ended up getting my usual black with blue flake and blue tail. I explained to them the issue with them, and they said no one else complained so the must be fine. Whatever, they can have them and sell them to someone who doesn't care or know any better. Quote
