Dixon Posted January 22, 2010 Posted January 22, 2010 Whos a fan of these baits? How do you guys fish them and what colors? Quote
Thefishy1 Posted January 22, 2010 Posted January 22, 2010 I like them for fishing around weedbeds in shallow water mostly. Just rig up with a 5/0 or 6/0 hook and reel it right under the surface to push up a wake. They are really big with the Florida crowd due to their extensive use on Okeechobee and other lakes. I would have to say California 420, Penetration, and Houdini are my top colors Quote

soccplayer07 Posted January 23, 2010 Posted January 23, 2010 my number one bait last year. I fish it anywhere you would fish a spinner bait. Quote
Dixon Posted January 23, 2010 Author Posted January 23, 2010 On a sworming hornet? If so what size. Quote
Super User Dan: Posted January 23, 2010 Super User Posted January 23, 2010 fish them on a 5/0 keel weighted hook. 1/8oz should do it. Quote
Super User Tin Posted January 23, 2010 Super User Posted January 23, 2010 I love the dippers. Money Shot Violet and Houdini have won me and a buddy of mine a lot of money. But I think the Dippers will be taking a back seat to the Zoom Swimming Fluke for a lot of guys this year. They are cheaper and more durable from what I'm hearing, with pretty much the same action. Tpayneful Posted January 24, 2010 Posted January 24, 2010 My friend fishes the skinny dipper in money shot with a 3/16 bullet weight. He schooled me on the potomac one day with them and loves them. I prefer the Swim Senko with the 3/16 bullet weight. In Florida I only fish junebug. On the Potomac I fish junebug when it is overcast and white when it is sunny. Swim them over grassbeds and along grass lines. Fish them in stump fields. You usually catch a fish when you bump a stump. They are a weedless alternative to a spinnerbait. Quote
pennyankees Posted January 24, 2010 Posted January 24, 2010 nice swimbait. i really like them. anything that resembles the fish in the water your fishing will work Quote
small_limit Posted January 24, 2010 Posted January 24, 2010 I use the Little Dipper as trailers for my spinnerbaits. The Skinny Dipper, I use for my chatterbait. Quote
