bassboy107 Posted July 12, 2012 Posted July 12, 2012 Hey everyone i was wondering what is the best rod is for frogs that is priced around $100. Any suggestions? Quote
jj'sbassinforfun Posted July 12, 2012 Posted July 12, 2012 Most of the frog rods I have seen are over my price range. Some of this will be personal choice, But Try to stay with an extra fast tip with MH to heavy action. I have a 7'2" MH Shimano Clarus and its works dandy! I think I paid around $90. Quote

BASSHUNTER1961 Posted July 15, 2012 Posted July 15, 2012 I use a 7' 2" MH Extra Fast Shimano Sellus and it works great for froggin. For $59.00 it can't be beat. Quote
jerzeeD Posted July 16, 2012 Posted July 16, 2012 I am probably one of 3 people here that use spinning gear for frogging! St croix premier 6'6" MH/F rod with a Pflueger president xt (aluminum body) reel and 30 lb. Suffix 832. So far it has worked well for me. Quote
Ron Shewman Posted July 16, 2012 Posted July 16, 2012 I bought a Abu-Garcia Veritas 7' H XF with micro guides and it's awesome. Quote
