knap Posted January 10, 2010 Posted January 10, 2010 beetle spin. i got a starters kit when i was little and my dad was showing me how to use the beetle spin and he told me artifical baits dont work just stay with a bobber i have beeen fishing for 25 years and have never had luck with an artifical bait, as soon as he said that he catches a bass, which that just made want to start using artifical. but he lost that bait later that day lol Quote

Sherlock 60 Posted January 23, 2010 Posted January 23, 2010 An in-line spinner on a bamboo pole with no reel. Walked along the seawall at my parents old lake place and caught tons of bluegill, sunfish and what we called striped bass (I found out much later that they were actually white bass). Quote

I got back from fishing that day and did a web search and was surprised to learn that they were discontinued nearly 20 years ago ! Quote
