I need some ideas on how to hang my fishing rods in my van. The van is a 2003 Chrysler mini van, and has 2 sets of plastic brackets for hanging. One set is near the rear of van, and one set is near the center of van. What have you guys done? Some pics would be great, and where you picked up any parts, etc. And of course, the cheaper the better. Thanks.

Rod Savers - Vehicle Rod Carrier - available at BPS, Cabelas, many other outlets including the Rod Saver company. I've got one for my Ford Explorer and I've put as many as 26 rods on it.

Thanks. Do these require drilling holes in the van? Because I don't want to do that.

They have several solutions for the interior of your van at BPS. Some just hook right on your plastic brackets. I tried to find something for my Jeep Patriot. I couldn't find anything I liked for the interior so I ended up getting a tube rod holder for on top of the Jeep. It holds up to 8 rods. Only drawback is that it doesn't allow for reels to be attached. I have a lock on it and its secured to the roof racks. I honestly like it a lot better than on the inside because I don't have the room.

I've seen rod holders at Bass Pro Shops, Cabelas. Since you don't want to harm your vehicle, you could apply velcro on the top of the vehicle interior.

Yes, you'll probably have to drill a couple of holes to install the Rod Saver vehicle rod carrier. I had to on my Explorer.

I got a rod hanger system from Cabelas that holds 9 rods. I needed to drill 2 hioles for each strap (4 total) to install. It works great anf keeps rods off the floor and saft from breakage.
