Jake P Posted July 11, 2012 Posted July 11, 2012 Been hearing about this small lake right off the tollway by work. Perfect for the jon boat and trolling motor. Its almost to good to be true and i dont know how i havent heard about if before now. Has shallow - deep drop offs. A nice creek channel with a 4 ft drop. Weeds, timber and rocks. Average depth is about 5 ft, max depth is 14. We tried to beat the storm today but it was moving a little too fast. As soon as we got there it started getting windy and drizzling so we didnt even put the boat in. I threw a KVD 1.5 and landed 1 dink before we had to go. I also reeled this in and im not sure what exactly it is? Is it bait or fry? Thanks Yall! Quote

Mad Fisherman Posted July 14, 2012 Posted July 14, 2012 It looks like the picture, but kind of reminds me of snake-head fry. Same body shape and head I think. Quote
Fish Chris Posted July 16, 2012 Posted July 16, 2012 I'm going with a juvenile Chain Pickeral (Jackfish) although it would be easier to tell from a side view.... Fish Quote
