Sun Fish Posted July 9, 2012 Posted July 9, 2012 Caught this guy in about 3 ft of water around Sundown using a jointed black jitterbug. It's a tough lake to fish in the heat of the summer with the weeds fully grown. Quote
Amoore9900 Posted July 10, 2012 Posted July 10, 2012 Nice fish I hate catching big ones and not having anyone to take the pics. Quote

Big-O Posted July 15, 2012 Posted July 15, 2012 WTG, beautiful fish! And looking at the calm water confirms your bait choice because it's perfect for a Jitterbug Quote

Super User Bankbeater Posted July 15, 2012 Super User Posted July 15, 2012 Nice bass. Jitterbugs can be the ticket sometimes. Quote
Sun Fish Posted July 16, 2012 Author Posted July 16, 2012 Jitterbugs are my go to lure for night time. Honestly havent even tried anything else really but I should. Had one last night that hit so hard nearly took the rod out of my hand and snapped the 6lb mono. I'm wondering if it was a lunker, a snapping turtle, or possibly a giant pickrel. Quote
JSPOONE Posted July 17, 2012 Posted July 17, 2012 nice fish man and congrats.. i usually just catch dinks on my jitterbug Quote
