I fish a lake with a lot of vegetation also, but I never lose my senko! I use a circle hook on my wacky rigs, maybe that will help!

I tried the weedless wacky hooks once. After 2 bites the hook was bent.

Switched to 2/0 circle hook without a weed guard and even tho it'l hang up some at least they hold.

I noticed that too with the off set hooks. I bend them flat to make them more weedless. They seem to last a bit longer.

In regards to the weed guard, I have to re bend it every once in awhile too.

Some form of pumpkinseed, or watermelon here in southern Illinois has been working for me. I flip back and forth between wacky style, and weightless texas rig...They look awesome when fished weightless/texas rig. The fish sure think so too!

I really like to throw senkos with a 6/0 owner beast screw lock hook at docks and vegitation on the lakes by me, most of them are really dirty water so the big hook doesnt effect it, but in clear water i go to a 4/0 owner, bubble gum is an awesome color up here as well as watermelon red.
