I can't figure for the life of me what happened. it's a 7'9" x-tra heavy and I went to fling a frog this morning and it broke about half way up. it was not previously damaged because its been locked away in my rod locker for a month. is there still a warranty available? I talked so good about this rod despite the complaints on here.

BC...I feel your pain.

I have broken 2 this year and both were around 3 years old. I broke my 6'6" MH on a hookset and broke my 7'6" H on submerged tree. Both snapped like cane poles. In the past, e21 was not responsive so I didn't even try...moving on to St. Croix now.

I'll have to change my name tag now...because I'm done with 'em.

Good luck.

I still think they're a pretty decent rod. There's better out there for sure but I got this one for $79 so i don't feel so bad. but I do need a dang frog rod now

I went back and forth last year debating on whether or not to buy one. Cabela's was running a pretty good sale on them and I heard a lot of mixed reviews. Apparently situations like yours aren't uncommon.

it's dragged quite a few toads out of the lillies and been a good rod but it has not been abused and also that's how i would expect to use an almost 8 foot extra heavy rod. i guess it just had enough
