Global Moderator Mike L Posted July 7, 2012 Global Moderator Posted July 7, 2012 Fellas: Stupid question... My first tourn of the month was cancelled which means my next one won't be untill the end of July, a full month since the last one. When I return from a tourn one of the rituals I have is to re tie everything before I go in the house, which means the knots will have been tyed for a month. Do you think that would be problem? Super User Marty Posted July 7, 2012 Super User Posted July 7, 2012 I don't think so. I've had knots tied for years on rods that I only use every so often. If the rod is stored where it's not harmful to line, you should be fine. Quote
Global Moderator Mike L Posted July 8, 2012 Author Global Moderator Posted July 8, 2012 Thanks Marty I thought so. Since I've never had anything tyed on that long I wasn't sure. Mike Quote
Super User SoFlaBassAddict Posted July 8, 2012 Super User Posted July 8, 2012 If you're even mildly concerned about it, just re-tie everything before the tourney. Honestly, how long can it possibly take you to do it while you're checking out your other gear. A couple of extra minutes, tops? Re-tie them, and don't worry about it. Quote
bassin is addicting Posted July 8, 2012 Posted July 8, 2012 for confidence....I retie either the night before or the morning of every tourney I fish. it only takes a few minutes. Quote
A-Rob Posted July 8, 2012 Posted July 8, 2012 braid no worries re tie your mono/FC especially your FC, that line is high maintenance My personal preference Quote
