Just bought a bag, mainly because a local guy caught a 7 1/2 lber on one, last year. I fogot to ask him what size hooks he used, these things are HUGE!

So that's my question, what hooks to use?

Also, if you've used them, let me know how you did.

I have no idea about hooks or rigging, but Bill Siemantel talks about big tubes in his book The Big Bass Zone. If you're interested, I could refresh my memory, and give an extract of what he wrote about big tubes.

EDIT: http://thebbz.com/articles/tubular%20thinking.html

Here's a start. I hope posting that link was okay. If not, I apologize in advance.

the jigheads for giant tubes all are on 7/0 or 8/0 hooks, the red october and musky innovations tubes also come with an 8/0 treble stinger hook

Thanks deep, some interesting info to be sure, he didn't mention hook sizes though.

Sorry for the late reply. From the first pic, you might be able to figure out how big of a hook you need. Then there's some talk about rigging and fishing big tubes.

EDIT: Sending you a PM with a link to another forum. You might be able to use the info.
