Got them both fed and bathed and put my little girl to sleep and after working all day on top of that im exhausted. I went in the kitchen to get some food and realized we need to go to the store. I just started eating and stopped when i got full. Heres what i ate...... small tv dinner steak and potatoes ( was a smaller than a hamburger patty with some tator tots) 1 sunkist 2 mini m&m cookies 1 tortilla 2 pork tamales from Mexico we got on vacation a month ago 1 more mini m&m cookie half glass of milk I started eating "right" about 3 months ago for 1 month straight and lost 16 lbs. For some reason i got tired of it and it just faded. I need to start again. Im not large, just a little overweight at 6'2 219 lbs. Any of yall eat like crap too? If you "dieted" or just ate better, how did you stay on track when the healthier food starts to get old? Quote
Super User Raider Nation Fisher Posted July 7, 2012 Super User Posted July 7, 2012 I used to eat a ton of junk. A typical workday was a candy bar and large monster energy for breakfast. Another candy bar and a coke at break. Two hotdogs and a large monster for lunch. A small monster and a candy bar for 3 o'clock break. Then pizza or fast food for dinner. Did this for almost 2yrs. Got back into eating right last November and have dropped 50lbs of fat and added some more muscle. I'm 6'2" and 280 now. I have twentyfive more pounds to go and the doctor said I will be at my ideal body weight. After that I intend to drop to 240, then muscle up to 260-275. I figure anything more than that is gonna require juice and I'm not really interested in that right now. As for eating right if you diet 6 days then cheat 1 you can keep your losses and not gain back. It goes off the body for life system of diet. Also I enjoy healthy food over junk food. I've even cut out fast food with the exception of my Mexican food one day over the weekend. I just love the way I look, and can look, too much to waste my life being pudgy. At 280 all I have left is my gut, and that's about to be gone. Back to form fitted under armour shirts I go. Just gotta drop that last bit first. Quote

Last night I had some crab dip on crackers, a banana with some peanut butter, and half a glass of chocolate milk. I know it's not good for me but when I'm that tired I just don't care. Quote

Even healthy foods may contain large amounts of calories, they can be just as fattening. I watch my portions, too much of any food will put weight on me. I don't like being fat, if I gain 1-2 pounds and I'm really watching myself. 5'5 and 135# for the last 40 years. I had a period a few years ago when I lost around 20#, that's when I discovered I was diabetic, I've since put the weight back on. Quote
Super User clayton86 Posted July 7, 2012 Super User Posted July 7, 2012 I love junk food iv been having a hard time lately iv been eating alot of grilled cheese and french fries from the chow hall because I don't have time to sit down and eat something healthy on my lunch chow, breakfast and dinner I try to eat healthy but with limited success last night I had "steak" "lobster" I say it in "" because well you'd have to see or taste it lol then 2 baked potatoes and angel cake with strawberries on top and I only drink water so 2 bottles of water to wash it down. I was down to 170 from 208 in January this past month I went back up to 180 im 5'9". Im happy with where I am thought because im bigger then I was at 208 now but its mostly muscle now iv lost my love handles and my gut and just have a little bit of flab on the front that's it and its still diminishing every week even with the weight gain and high carb intake for lunch. I'v been busting my arse for this though doing insanity cardio every other day and every other day doing p90x abripper x then I weight lift for 45-min to 1.5hours a day. I still how ever if you open my locker i have a pile of cliff bars, maybe 20 bags of reesies pieces , a bag of doritos, funyons, big bag of starburst, and 2 cans of peanuts. I have a sweet tooth I try to eat my junk snacks in moderation but when im bored next thing I know im surrounded by wrapers and empty doritos bags lol. Quote

Super User clayton86 Posted July 7, 2012 Super User Posted July 7, 2012 as a teenage boy i am a bottomless pit. if i see food, especailly junk im eating it it will catch up to you I was the same way till I was 21 which was only 5 years ago but I could eat and eat and eat did several food challenges/competitions 2lb burgers, chicken wing eating competitions you name it and I never gained a pound 135 no matter what I did. then I turned 21 got married settled down had to buy my own food and ended up blowing up like a blimp lol. I was the same way. Could eat ANYTHING all day and was 205. As soon as i got married i started gaining a little and when my wife got pregnant with our son....DANG i gained 25 lbs! Quote

It caught up to me. I went from 170 and 9% bodyfat when I graduated highschool to now being 21% bodyfat and 210 at 26. I'm already starting to feel the extra weight in my back in knees and I get tired way easier. It sucks and I know it just gets harder from here. Quote

I am the only person I know who loses weight the less busy I get, not that I ever slim down, but from April to November when I am on the go all the time I just don't eat right. Than god I drink little to no soda or beer, or I would be 400lbs for sure. Quote

I drink beer but its on and off. 1 week i will have a 6 pack and then go 3 weeks without one. I need to cut back on the sodas and drink more water. I might drink a bottle of water once a month. Quote
