trupp30 Posted July 4, 2012 Posted July 4, 2012 I have not been drop shoting for long. And I was wondering, what are some of best/favorite soft plastics people have been using? Thanks for any help. Quote
Super User roadwarrior Posted July 4, 2012 Super User Posted July 4, 2012 Fluke, Roboworm, 7" Thumper or Anaconda, Senko and Kut Tail Quote
paangler13 Posted July 4, 2012 Posted July 4, 2012 Flukes, 4inch curl tail worms have been hot for me this year. I also like 4in and smaller craw baits. Jim Quote
mikey5string Posted July 4, 2012 Posted July 4, 2012 the smaller fluke, roboworm, creme scoundrels (worm color) and gulp smelt minnows. I dont drop shot nearly as much anymore. sure it catches fish but I am always getting crappie or dinks. Ordered 100 producto spring worms a couple weeks ago too! Quote
cueball Posted July 4, 2012 Posted July 4, 2012 I drop shot about anything, but my two favorite drop shot baits are the Strike King/Zman elaztech 4" finesse worms and the BPS cut tail worms. I like the Strike King/Zman worms because you can fish for a long time with a worm because the elaztech material is tough. If the fish are eating the elaztech worms I will almost always use them. I like the BPS worms because they are really inexpensive, come in some really good colors and the fish eat them like candy. It is pretty rare that I can't get bit with those two worms. Quote
LunkerLust Posted July 7, 2012 Posted July 7, 2012 My favorites are Zoom meatheads in watermelon green and green weenie, and 3' sluggo in ark. shiner. 1 Quote
logan9209 Posted July 7, 2012 Posted July 7, 2012 I use flukes, trick worms, curl tail worms (short curl), and just about anything that has action and floats. RoadWarrior, I know you said you use 7" Anaconda's, but I can't imagine there would be that much weight difference from the 10". So would that work as well? Or would it be too heavy? Quote
pondassasin Posted July 7, 2012 Posted July 7, 2012 4 or 6 inch roboworms, small zoom tubes, and yamamato Shad shake worms Quote
Highhawk1948 Posted July 7, 2012 Posted July 7, 2012 Zoom Finess Worms in watermelon red and Innovation 4 inch worm, same color. Quote
Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted July 7, 2012 Global Moderator Posted July 7, 2012 Gulp minnows and Zoom meatheads Quote
Super User islandbass Posted July 8, 2012 Super User Posted July 8, 2012 Just about any soft plastic can be used. All recommendations are very good but you need not constrain or limit yourself to those. 3" senkos, chompers worms and smaller tubes nice additions to the list. Quote
Super User iabass8 Posted July 8, 2012 Super User Posted July 8, 2012 Zoom trick worm in green pumpkin/blue tail dipped in jjs chart. Quote
Mike__D Posted July 9, 2012 Posted July 9, 2012 x zone slammers and roboworms mainly produce for me. mike d Quote
canyouheminow Posted July 9, 2012 Posted July 9, 2012 I love using 4 inch robo worms or zoom finesse worms. Still learning to fish a drop shot though... Quote
Super User rockchalk06 Posted July 16, 2012 Super User Posted July 16, 2012 Roboworm and Zoom Trick Worm I started using these after watching OK Bass Hunter land a nice sogeye with one. They do work like a charm Quote
Super User SoFlaBassAddict Posted July 16, 2012 Super User Posted July 16, 2012 Take your pick of the Roboworm ST's. Was at Dicks earlier with Bassn Blvd and scored a few packs for $1.23 a pop. I'm almost wishing I had bought more of them. Lol Colors I like: Aaron's Magic Aaron's Magic Red & Black Flake Margarita Multilator Green Weenie Ehlrer's Edge Honestly though, all of Robos colors will catch fish. I just happen to have a BUNCH of those colors on hand at the moment, so that's what I like right now. Quote
Super User iceintheveins Posted July 18, 2012 Super User Posted July 18, 2012 Robo worm fat 4.5" Quote
