Two bass club buddies went to the Rappahannock River to do some prefishing and the boat owner told the nonboater that he was going to show him the place I took the boater last year on the Rappahannock River.

What the boater did not know was how to enter the area so they got caught on a mudflat for two hours.

Please be extra careful when entering creeks and pits if you do not know the waters. You can get stuck on a mud flat or rip off or damage your motor's lower unit in a heartbeat.

And you can't get out of the boat and push it. You would sink up to your knees. So you have to sit there and wait for the tide to come in or another boater arrives to help pull off the flat.

Just thought everyone would enjoy the story and its moral.

Been there done that, not fun.

The boat sticks on them like a suction cup.

Yep. Like glue.
