Super User Fishing Rhino Posted July 3, 2012 Super User Posted July 3, 2012 No Time for Sergeants - a classic A Face in the Crowd - another classic starring Andy as a two faced, manipulating sleazeball. The dramatic opposite of Sheriff Taylor. RIP Quote
Super User rockchalk06 Posted July 4, 2012 Super User Posted July 4, 2012 Just seen this posted on facebook. He was one of the greats. He will be missed! Quote
Super User Bassn Blvd Posted July 4, 2012 Super User Posted July 4, 2012 Dang. I knew I heard correctly earlier today when I was getting out of the shower and overheard the t.v in the other room. I got busy and forgot to confirm. What a shame. R.I.P Sheriff Taylor. Quote
Super User NorcalBassin Posted July 5, 2012 Super User Posted July 5, 2012 Sad day... he brings back memories of the good ol days. Quote
Super User SirSnookalot Posted July 5, 2012 Super User Posted July 5, 2012 Any time "A Face in the Crowd" is aired I won't miss it. As much as I appreciated his comedic roles in "No time for Sergeants and Onionhead, I most enjoyed his dramatic work. Quote
dave Posted July 5, 2012 Posted July 5, 2012 The Andy Griffith Show has always been a favorite. Via Netflix, I have seen all 249 episodes. Quote
Super User rockchalk06 Posted July 5, 2012 Super User Posted July 5, 2012 I read an interview with Brad Paisley once where several county singers had tried to get Andy to do a cameo in a music video. He had declined several due to some of the content of the video and how the women were portrayed. When asked by Paisley officials he jumped at the chance. "Waiting on a women" one of the all time greats. Quote
Traveler2586 Posted July 5, 2012 Posted July 5, 2012 R.I.P. Andy, Thank you for many enjoyable hours of true entertainment. Quote
