Jig Meister Posted July 2, 2012 Posted July 2, 2012 Found some really old Rapala Floaters in a tackle box that I got from my brother years ago. With other nice Rapala lures, the hooks and rings are all rusty, but the body is still in great shape, hell those floaters and jerk baits from Rapala seem to catch in any condition. what hook size should I go with as replacements, I am not normally a jerk/crank bait fisherman, so I am sort of clueless. Thanks. Quote
0119 Posted July 2, 2012 Posted July 2, 2012 Id take one with you to the tackle shop to compare. Especially since each maker seems to vary the shank length some. Size one is a good place to start. Quote
NoBassPro Posted July 2, 2012 Posted July 2, 2012 If you know what size the Rapala's are you can go to the Bass Pro website and it will tell you what size VMC hooks they use under other specs on the lure description. Quote
