Hop Posted January 16, 2010 Posted January 16, 2010 Do the Bass Pro Shop stores honor the same prices as seen online? Quote
avid Posted January 16, 2010 Posted January 16, 2010 When you go to the store you often find things on sale that are listed at full price in the catalog. Plus it's just alot of fun to walk around...look at the big fish tank, the mounts on the walls. BPS is the worlds greatest toy store. Quote
Super User Goose52 Posted January 16, 2010 Super User Posted January 16, 2010 Do the Bass Pro Shop stores honor the same prices as seen online? There has been some earlier discussions on this - most people report that the store will honor an on-line or catalog price...but you may need to bring the catalog page or a print-out of the web page...and you may or may not need to talk with the department manager to get the price. From what has been said, BPS runs all 3 entities (stores, catalog, internet) as separate businesses so there is no guarantee of uniform prices. Quote

Was there this morning, trying to get a combo that was on sale last week online is not even featured this week. The clerk said If I was to bring in a copy of the online sale they would honor it if it was in stock. He said the online specials are changing all the time, and that's why he would need to see a copy. Quote
Super User Fishes in trees Posted January 16, 2010 Super User Posted January 16, 2010 Different stores - different people. I get to the Springfield store maybe once a year and I find the floor help there very knowledgeable about what's on sale in catalog & on-line and they will tell you. The few times I've been to the Columbia, MO store, I had the same experiences, i.e. floor help knowing about on-line specials and will hood you up. The Independence store - not so much. The whole store seems to be staffed by part-timers who are there for the discount. While they are nice and polite to you all the time, product knowledge isn't their strong suit, for the most part. I've been told, "bring in an ad alot there. Just my experiences, so far. Could be me. All their floor help could be very wise, I just didn't ask the right question, or maybe I didn't ask the question right. While I'm ranting, the light in that whole store is weird. Different colors look different in different aisles. The whole south wall of the store is a big window. Quote
Super User SoFlaBassAddict Posted January 16, 2010 Super User Posted January 16, 2010 I've never had a problem with either of my BPS' honored online or catalog prices in store. The customer service reps have gone online for me and checked out the prices and been happy to go with those. Quote
UPS VT Posted January 16, 2010 Posted January 16, 2010 My only problem with BPS stores is that the closest one is over 3 hours away. I do like visiting them when I am near one. It is nice to see the items in person. Quote
Jepu Posted January 16, 2010 Posted January 16, 2010 I bought three combos there last month that were on sale online and were not in the store. At the store the clerk looked up the ad online and they honored it in the store. Quote
Super User Fishing Rhino Posted January 16, 2010 Super User Posted January 16, 2010 You can find all the fliers and catalogs on their web site. While the catalogs appear to be the same across the country, the fliers are not. There is a place where you enter your zip code, and then the fliers for your areal will be displayed. Sometimes they have a stack of those flyers as you enter the store. As others have said, print the page with the sale price of the item you want. Never had a problem with them honoring it. Quote

There supposed to be putting one here in Pittsburgh sometime soon. Quote
Scorcher214 Posted January 17, 2010 Posted January 17, 2010 I LOVE going to the actual store. I could spend a whole day going through all the soft plastics . But it is a good 2 and half to 3 hours driving, its cheaper to just pay shipping for me. Quote

If what I'm looking for is less than $30, it's actually cheaper for me to have it shipped than to pay for the 2+ gallons of gas it would take to drive there and back in Atl. traffic. Quote
Super User grimlin Posted January 17, 2010 Super User Posted January 17, 2010 I go once a year to the store.Since it's in a big outlet type mall type my wife, kid and her sisters & family tag along and we make it a family outing type deal. It's a lot of fun to just walk around to look and buy stuff once in awhile.Thinking about going to the rain forest cafe' that's inside the mall for dinner. My kid loves that place. We'll be going there sometimes in March once we figure out a day everybody has off from work. Quote
SkilletSizeBass. Posted January 17, 2010 Posted January 17, 2010 We got a quite large BPS within a few miles, Jeffersonville/Clarksville Indiana, it has 3 levels and is very nice. My 3yr. old grandson loves going and walking around, and me too ;D. I just wished they stocked more brands of fishing lures instead of clothes, food stuff, etc.. If you considered all the lures they don't stock, it would add a lot to their selection. I browse thru their catalog at home, but don't order anymore form them on-line. Quote
