got in the water around 1 and immediately noticed that the water had dropped at least 2 feet since last week and they were still moving water. the water was ripping to the east faster than i had ever seen it move. i didn't want to take a chance running west with the low water, so we decided to fish the cuts down the canal. first cut and a nice fish smacks my prop bait out of the water. mike throws in behind me and bangs a 4 pounder. started letting the wind push us east, and we fan casted into the open water with the eel grass. mike was throwing a big ez and banged another 3+ fish. i started to flip the heads and started getting some bites. then i got a thump and and boated this chunk. mike and i would have had 16-18 pounds in 4 hours. that guy is big fish magnet.

Bruce, enjoyed the trip, bud! We did pretty good, I think, under fairly tough conditions and the middle of the afternoon. You had that flipping stick dialed up! Anytime you got a backseat open, give me a call.

Sounds like a pretty good day guys. Wind must have been blowing pretty good out there. Lox is the place to be right now apparently. Shame the water is dropping so fast.
