jerzeeD Posted June 23, 2012 Posted June 23, 2012 I have a 45 lb. Thrust endura that is a season and a half old. Today I lost the 2nd speed control switch in the short time I have owned it. Anyone else have this issue? Quote
Super User slonezp Posted June 23, 2012 Super User Posted June 23, 2012 They have a 2 year warranty Quote
jerzeeD Posted June 23, 2012 Author Posted June 23, 2012 ..... when you have a reciept and dealer service center nearby. I have neither. The part is cheap. Just getting tired of replacing it. Quote
tmier Posted June 23, 2012 Posted June 23, 2012 That's stinks...I have the same motor... I've been wanting to sell it and save up for a maxxum or V2. Quote
tnriverluver Posted June 23, 2012 Posted June 23, 2012 I have the same motor on a 15ft Tracker jon. The 1st 4 speeds seem to have very little difference between them and yet I hit the #5 setting and you better be holding on to something it's so fast. Don't know if this i normal for these motors or not but I am not happy that the other 4 won't even move the boat against the wind. Quote
jerzeeD Posted June 23, 2012 Author Posted June 23, 2012 Yea.... the difference between 4th and 5th gear is pretty noticeable. It certainly makes it difficult to find the perfect speed to troll a crankbait behind the boat. I was wondering if anyone else had this issue with the speed controller. Quote
Dave P Posted June 24, 2012 Posted June 24, 2012 Yea. I've got a 55 that has the same type of problem. There's a couple of "gears" that aren't there. It's the speed controller. Just haven't bothered to change it. Quote

Yes, Both of my 5 speeds motors are like that always have been 4th speed draws 16 amp and 5th speed draws 30. Quote
Super User Fishes in trees Posted June 25, 2012 Super User Posted June 25, 2012 Spend the extra money and go for the 55 lb thrust with variable speed. You won't believe how much power you save over the course of a day. Quote
