MichiganFishing1997 Posted June 23, 2012 Posted June 23, 2012 I think im going to get simms sun gloves, but as for neck/head wear, should i get simms sun gaiter, or Buff angler headwear? any suggestions slash reviews? Quote
Super User Gatorbassman Posted June 24, 2012 Super User Posted June 24, 2012 I bought SIMMS sun sleeves and gloves last week and used them on a very hot day of guiding. I have to say that I was very impressed. I put the sleeves on and my arms instantly felt a little cooler. I don't know how they do it but that's what happened. The gloves were nice to. Even in 95 degree heat I forgot that both the sleeves and the gloves were on. It was great. I did hear that the gator had a problem staying on if the top of it wasn't perfectly straight. I am keeping my buff for now. Quote
MichiganFishing1997 Posted June 24, 2012 Author Posted June 24, 2012 Great to know! If you don't mind me asking, how much did you pay? I don't have a ton of cash floating around and they seem to be a little pricey, but they seem like a good little investment. Quote
Super User Gatorbassman Posted June 25, 2012 Super User Posted June 25, 2012 I got them at a local fly shop. The sleeves were 20 and so were the gloves. I think the buff was a little more than that. Quote
grampa1114 Posted June 25, 2012 Posted June 25, 2012 I'm just glad you're asking.....Buff has worked for me for gloves and collars both....found in most Fly fishing sections of the larger tackle stores and at $15-$20, a real lifesaving bargain. Quote
MichiganFishing1997 Posted June 26, 2012 Author Posted June 26, 2012 I heard that the buff gloves were not comfortable when wet compared to others? Quote
grampa1114 Posted June 26, 2012 Posted June 26, 2012 Comfort is a very subjective item....I personally find them very comfortable...wet or dry... Quote
