Super User LgMouthGambler Posted June 23, 2012 Super User Posted June 23, 2012 Where are the bearings that are in the new Curado G located? I know its got to be 2 for the spool, but what are the others? Where you at Bantam? Quote
Super User J Francho Posted June 23, 2012 Super User Posted June 23, 2012 If you want to see, go to the Shimano website and dl the schematic. Quote
logan9209 Posted June 23, 2012 Posted June 23, 2012 Mine was on the floor.....but that's another topic. Quote

Super User LgMouthGambler Posted June 23, 2012 Author Super User Posted June 23, 2012 Thanks J. I guess the only difference is the fact that it doesnt have the bearings in the knobs. Not that big of a deal then. Quote
Super User J Francho Posted June 23, 2012 Super User Posted June 23, 2012 Even then, the E has only one bearing in the knob. The posts themselves have a built in bush at the bottom. I like the Daiwa arrangement with two bearings in the knobs, although that poses an added corrosion risk. I see that a lot with unmaintained reels. Quote
Super User LgMouthGambler Posted June 24, 2012 Author Super User Posted June 24, 2012 Well the one bearing in the knob is the only thing that seperates the E and the G. That explains it, well my 50E has 2 bearings in each knob now, so I have 9 total. Going to be that way hopefully with the rest of my Shimanos soon anyway. Quote
Delaware Valley Tackle Posted June 25, 2012 Posted June 25, 2012 I agree, if you're going to have bearings in the grips at all there might as well be two. However, I still think they're mostly marketing and an added expense with little or no benefit. There are some very smooth feeling bushing handles out there. Quote
OnthePotomac Posted June 27, 2012 Posted June 27, 2012 Look at the expensive Shimano Core 50MG7. No bearings in the handle. Quote
