Its great on salad! I use it on the reel to clean it after I use it, and the line on the spool the night before, and just before the first cast. Also, its good on the guides every once and a while. It cleans, protects, and allows the line to be smoother off the spool.

Not that I've ever had one, but it also makes it easier to remove backlashes.

I spray reel magic on mine the night before I know I am going out and sometimes during the day if needed. I won't leave home without a bottle in the bag.

Thanks. I'm going to have to try it. Any particular brand to look for? Is it available at Walmart?

Tackle warehouse, and I also believe Gander Mnt. has it for sale if there is one near you, I am sure Bass Pro Shops also has it.

Gander doesn't carry it, at least not around here. They do have Ardent Line Butter Conditioner. Never used it.

One more vote for the KVD Line and Lure. I use P-Line CXX and the difference with the conditioner and without is huge. It is well worth the money, and I am very cost conscious.
