Super User AK-Jax86 Posted June 21, 2012 Super User Posted June 21, 2012 Here as well but some ppl put them back into waters but not most and I actually fillet then bagg them up and sell the finished product around my moms neighborhood which is white meat fillets. And for the remains I feed my gator that I released into pond next to my moms the one that's in the profile pic. Nice pics man! I never caught a snakehead but I always wanted to go fishing for em. Im trying to find a baby gator so I can have it as a pet, any suggestions on that? Quote
Super User SirSnookalot Posted June 21, 2012 Super User Posted June 21, 2012 Worst thing to do is feed a gator, they lose their fear of man which is dangerous............it will grow! Quote

Check out Blazin Reptiles it is on San Jose just past the target on the left if u are heading towards Jax(north) they sell all kinds, has camans and water monitors. They also got these"Bengal cats" it is a cross between something wild and a domestic cat, like them wolf hybrids, and a lemur in the store too. Cool place to see all the off the wall stuff, like a free trip to the zoo. Lol Quote
BassHunter954 Posted June 21, 2012 Author Posted June 21, 2012 Lol but sirsnook I don't feed it like him coming up or eating when I throw it in water I never see him but it was a baby about 8months ago when I put him in the canal . I just toss the remains around the canal and leave an mostly everything sinks unless it lands on brush on edge but I don't feed it like that and I know it grows lol but it best way to dispose of remains then to trash it or bury it in my moms yard. But they don't sell any type of gators they just have the one for show. You are absolutely right though it is like a free trip to the zoo. They got some crazy stuff in there. I went in the venomous snake room and they have some MONSTER snakes in there. There is this cool ass albino rattlesnake that they have. That store definitely puts Pets Mart to shame lol. Quote
Super User Sam Posted June 21, 2012 Super User Posted June 21, 2012 We have to kill any we catch in Virginia waters and report the kill to the Virginia DG&IF. Quote
Kyle Mahaffey Posted June 21, 2012 Posted June 21, 2012 We have to kill any we catch in Virginia waters and report the kill to the Virginia DG&IF. Had to do this last weekend. Kinda scared my three year old when I stabed it in its head. 1 Quote
evrgladesbasser Posted June 21, 2012 Posted June 21, 2012 Nice fish. I wouldn't go telling your alligator story to much though. Last I heard it was against state and federal law to feed or harass them. Good way to get an unwanted knock on your door. 1 Quote
