Trying to decide which rod I should get for Lew's Tournament baitcast reel. Price range up to 100 I guess.

Rod Specs:

- APPLICATION: Jigs / Spinnerbaits

- * Lightweight

- * Sensitive

- Medium Heavy

- Fast Action

- Flexible

- 1/4oz - 1oz

I bought a Falcon BuCuu BCC-5-17, MH, moderate action, the backbone is stiff and I didn't notice until I brought it home because I was looking at 4 rods at the same time.

I bought it at Gander, I'm most likely going to take it back just because BPS has it for $99.99 and I paid $119.99.

I was also looking at the Abu Garcia Vendetta but took the Falcon because it was lighter.

I was thinking about getting the white Abu Garcia® Veritas™ Micro Guide Series Casting Rod model VRCM70-6. Gander has it for the same price, but BPS has over 25 broken rod reviews.

the veritas are great rods. for the $100 i think they cant be beat. for another $30 you can get a lamiglas excel which are made in USA and imho the best rods for $130. TW has them

did you ever try powell? the Powell Endurance Casting 6'7" Med heavy 673 is on sale at TW for $109. so light you don't know its in ur hands. extra fast tip which is amazing for distance casts and hook sets. when i'm shore fishing and only carry two rods its a must. i can use it for jigs, spinners, buzz, lipless traps, cranks, even texas rig plastics. lifetime warranty. i can't say enough good things about it. feels like a $300 rod
