Super User Raider Nation Fisher Posted June 19, 2012 Super User Posted June 19, 2012 So as not to have my NFL thread jacked. Who's ready for the college football season? And most important what team are you reppin? Im reppin them Auburn Tigers! Honestly as long as they beat LSWho and Bama, I will consider it a good year. Only thing worse then those mouthy LSWho fans are those miserable bear lovin Bama fans. War d**n Eagle! Quote
tipptruck1 Posted June 19, 2012 Posted June 19, 2012 Go Badgers. But I will root for a few teams. My buddy is a major Hawkeye fan. WI use to play Iowa every year. But now its every two years. So win they play we have our own rivalry. The last time they played I was a wreck. WI scored with less then a minute. They had a one point lead as Iowa gets the ball. Iowa sent it deep in to WI territory. Just out off fg range. Iowa tried to run it out off bounds at the 5 yard line. But was tackled as the clock expired. As soon as I was sure the game was over. I was calling my buddy making fun of him and his team. I was yelling swear words and calling the hawkeyes things I can not say here. Yes I over did it. But It was all in fun. Plus I have been on the recving end of it. Quote
mrmacwvu1 Posted June 19, 2012 Posted June 19, 2012 Looking forward to the move to the Big 12. Lets go Mountaineers Quote
MrSwimJig Posted June 19, 2012 Posted June 19, 2012 Lets go Sooners! Looking forward to the new playoff format to determine the national champion. Quote
tipptruck1 Posted June 19, 2012 Posted June 19, 2012 I heard nothing will happen in till after the 2013 season. So we will still have the whole bcs bs. Quote

Super User Sam Posted June 20, 2012 Super User Posted June 20, 2012 LSU fans are great. Get with Florida fans and you can see a bunch of spoiled brats. Around 75 days to kickoff. Bamasux will take on Michigan in Dallas and destroy them, although some pundants think the game will be close. Yea, right. I don''t see it. Awbunn takes on Clepson in the big ATL and Clepson may pull the upset. Just remember, it is Clepson and they always seem to fall apart as the season progresses. LSU will open against a very strong North Texas State team in Red Stick. Good game to warm up for the SEC Conference schedule, giving all four running backs and Spitfire the chance to get the rust out of the system. Also will be a showplace game for the Honey Badger. After this season Satan will be heading for Dallas as the Cowboys new head coach and Bamasux will once again be relegated to the second level in the SEC Conference until they get Mike Leach as their head coach. (Don't you just love college football????) Quote
Super User Sam Posted June 20, 2012 Super User Posted June 20, 2012 And SouthernMisnomer, you are in Texas and don't like college football? The top state for high school talent? Great universities playing great football. A state where young guys don't wear diapers but jockstraps when they are born. A place where middle school football payers are held back a year so they can get better for high school and play for the University of Texas? The home of the Chicken Ranch so the A&M boys can have some fun on Thanksgiving weekends. Come on, I know the fishing is outstanding in Texas, the women are beautiful and the beef is out of this world but you just got to go with college football. It is a lot of fun and exciting. Give it a shot. Quote

(Don't you just love college football????) I figured this would getcha started up. The smack talk is half the fun of college football. Plus most the Florida fans I've met are thugs. Can't really stand being around them. Keep in mind I haven't hung out around Florida fans in 10 plus years. So they may have changed since then. Quote
Super User Sam Posted June 20, 2012 Super User Posted June 20, 2012 Nope. Still a-holes. Big ones, too. It is more fun to beat a Florida team then any other team in the SEC. Now to ban together and get ready for the onsault against the SEC Conference! Quote
Super User Sam Posted June 20, 2012 Super User Posted June 20, 2012 By the way Raider Nation Fisher, if Mike Leach ever blesses the Bama sidelines you can turn off the lights. Leach is an offensive genius and he will tear up the SEC Conference, even if he goes to Missysippy State of Ole tick. Add a good defensive coordinator and it is all over. I hope he has a wonderful and long lasting career in the Pac 10. Quote
scrutch Posted June 20, 2012 Posted June 20, 2012 I'm ready! Go Irish! We have a brutal schedule this year. Navy (in Ireland) Purdue Michigan State Michigan Open date Miami Stanford BYU Oklahoma Pittsburg Boston College Wake Forest USC It's gonna be fun! Quote
Super User Root beer Posted June 20, 2012 Super User Posted June 20, 2012 Only one problem with your analysis, Sam, Saban could have left this year and didn't. Les miles will continue to be the luckiest coach in all of college football. I think he overrated. LSU just seems to get very talent players, but don't have a decent head coach how that translate to success? He got a man name Lucifer on speed dial on his headset. Dial up 666 and something will fall in his favor. I'm glad he got exposed in the National Championship game. By the way, did you hear about the Honey Badger and A.J. McCarron having a "Twitter War"? Honey Badger made himself look like a fool, again. Quote
Super User Gatorbassman Posted June 20, 2012 Super User Posted June 20, 2012 The question is, What SEC team will win the championship this year? Quote
Super User roadwarrior Posted June 20, 2012 Super User Posted June 20, 2012 Watch out! Here comes Mizzou-Rah, Mizzou-Rah, Mizzou-Rah...TIGERS! Quote
Super User Root beer Posted June 20, 2012 Super User Posted June 20, 2012 A lot of people think Alabama's defense will fall off the map this year. I don't believe it. We may not be ranked no. 1 in every major category at the end of this season, but it's hard to believe we won't be in the top 5. Even with Missouri "high flying offense" on our schedule. We get two starters back at linebacker and secondary and we get all but one defensive linemen back. Our defensive of line will be the strength. They are deep and athletic and bound to have a break out year. I think this will be the year. Quote
Super User whitwolf Posted June 20, 2012 Super User Posted June 20, 2012 As an N.C. State fan I can't wait for August 31st. 7:30 pm! Go 'Pack! I will be In Atlanta with my TN grad brother-in-law and my N.C. State sister watching what hopefully turns out to be a rout of the Vols. lol Quote
Super User Sam Posted June 20, 2012 Super User Posted June 20, 2012 Hey Root Beer, No, never heard about any Twitter war. I guess the guys were just having fun, which Miles allows and Satan does not. As for Miles not being a great coach, he went 13-0 without a quarterback last year. That is an excellent accomplishment. I was disappointed Miles did not use more tick plays last year. They are always fun to watch especially against Spurrier and Satan. Should be another fun year in the SEC Conference. I hope the conference can win another BCS championship this coming season. Quote
Super User Sam Posted June 20, 2012 Super User Posted June 20, 2012 Root Beer, by the way, Jerry Jones did not offer the head coaching job to Nickie. I was surprised by that move but Jones allowed Garrett to have a full season but if Garrett does not take the Cowboys to the playoffs then Jones may turn to Saban as Jones is getting old and he wants to go out with a Super Bowl Championship. Nick Saban can get him a Super Bowl Championship. I don't think Garrett can. Time will tell. Quote
NoBassPro Posted June 21, 2012 Posted June 21, 2012 I heard nothing will happen in till after the 2013 season. So we will still have the whole bcs bs. That is true, and I don't believe they have come to an agreement yet. The SEC wants to get its hands on Rose Bowl money and the Big Ten isn't willing to give that up. At least that's what I've gotten out of the comments I've read. Quote
Super User Root beer Posted June 21, 2012 Super User Posted June 21, 2012 http://espn.go.com/college-football/story/_/id/8078786/commissioners-reach-consensus-four-team-college-football-playoff What if SEC has three teams in the top 4 like last year? LOL. Quote
Super User Bassn Blvd Posted June 21, 2012 Super User Posted June 21, 2012 The best part of college ball is watching the dreams of half the teams go down the tube during the first 2-3 weeks. Quote
