noogai13 Posted January 1, 2010 Posted January 1, 2010 I'm thinking about buying a cheap soft plastics starter kit and I spent a few minutes on the BassProShops website but I'm still not sure. Help? :-/ Quote
SWMIBASSER Posted January 1, 2010 Posted January 1, 2010 I'm not sure what kits are available. I will say that some soft plastics even in the same shapes produce better than others. I would avoid a "cheap" kit. A pack of watermelon red Zoom Trick worms, a pack of smoke, green pumpkin, or watermelon, senko type worms. (I actually prefer Snack Daddy Lures) and a pack of Poor Boys DS Darters. That covers the shakey head, and smaller worms rigged tx style weighted or slightly weighted (trick worms) Wacky, and tx rigged weightless (senko style worms) and drop shotting-DS Darter Quote
noogai13 Posted January 1, 2010 Author Posted January 1, 2010 i was just thinking about TX rigging, because i never bothered to buy a freshwater spinning outfit. Quote
tnbassfisher Posted January 1, 2010 Posted January 1, 2010 Look into Senkos. Really not a wrong way to fish them many people will tell you. Strike King has a kit that has five or six different colors of their Senko out. Quote
Super User Hammer 4 Posted January 1, 2010 Super User Posted January 1, 2010 I'd grab a couple of packs of Roboworms, 1 in the 6" straight tail, and 1 in the 4 1/2" size...colors are up to you, generaly any of the purples are good, i.e. Margarita Mutalator, MM III, Morning Dawn ect. IMHO, buy better stuff now, and you won't have to replace it in a month.. Quote

The Rooster Posted January 2, 2010 Posted January 2, 2010 black 7in power worm and your set I have so many different plastics in my arsenal, and this is the only one that I would NEVER let run out or go fishing without. Quote
A-Rob Posted January 10, 2010 Posted January 10, 2010 On my lake, my all-star line up would be: 1. 5" Yum Dinger (its a senko, but cheaper) 2. 3.75" Tube (Any brand works) 3. Yum Houdini Worm 4. 4" grub 5. +/- Anything fun, Lizard, or craw/creature bait, etc. As you can see, I noted Yum a lot. I think they make pretty good plastics for the most part that catches fish, but are reasonably priced. Bass Pro often has them on sale for super cheap to, like 98cents on their clearance racks. Just buy a 360 box for 5 bucks. Pick natural colors like green/brown. Good luck bro! Quote
