I am considering getting a new tackle bag. Has anybody here have any good suggestions? I have the old falcon fto bag which I love, but I have outgrow it. I need a bigger bag that can hold more.

I have a smaller bag in that Advanced Angler series and am very pleased. If that larger bag has the size and pocket configuration that you want I wouldn't hesitate one second to recommend it.

Just a small story. Shortly after I bought the bag I broke a zipper on one of the side pockets. I stopped in to a tailor to get an estimate and then called Cabela's. They said they'd get a check to me immediately. They didn't need proof of the estimate or anything else, just my word was good enough. They've always had outstanding service in my experience.

As a co-angler I went thru 3 bags till I found the one I liked, that could hold all my stuff without being to big.

I had a Cabelas but a different style than your's, It had the flap that went over the complete top and snapped closed.

It was ok but that flap kept getting in the way, and over a year or so it just didn't have enough room.

Then I bought a BPS horizontal tray model thinking it would would be better because it had a storge compartment on top to throw things in and carry an extra reel, line etc. but that proved to be too combersom as I couldn't get a tray out from the back of the boat, without stepping off the deck to get something, then back up as I keep the bag on the seat.

I finally settled on a Flambeau AZ8. That has all the compartment's I need, not too wide or long, and just the right height.

They also make a few smaller models as well.

Depending on your situation check those out, you may like it better.

I have the Cabela's super magnum Advanced Angler series and I really like it. I broke one of the pull strings on the zippers but replaced it with a heavy duty zip tie and it's good as new. I pack mine to the gills and it's probably overloaded so that's probably why the zipper broke in the first place when I was trying to close it. Very nice bag with tons of room and a great price.

Falcon did make two different sizes of the FTO bags, so if you have the smaller one, you might try to find one of the bigger ones on e-bay or something, since you already know you like that line of bags. My buddy has one of each size, and I especially like the built in rain fly.

I loved my Cabelas bag, it has 2 areas in the front for pliers and I love that feature as I don't have to keep the pliers out on the deck now. They don't make a bag to fit all my stuff in, and right now I have 3 bags and that isn't enough but I use them differently. I use one bag and then switch out boxes depending on where I'm fishing, season, weather conditions, and even the type of boat. If you take too much tackle it makes it hard to choose a bait sometimes so I take about 10 bags of plastics total and 2 boxes of hard baits along with a full box of terminal tackle, very easy.

BPS makes a good one also, I have one for 5 years now and it's still going strong. Only thing I don't like is that it has a mesh pocket on the side, it tends to snag stuff.

I like the spiderwire bag for a co angler. Fits 4 large size boxes and then a med size in the next pocket. Lots of extra storage in the "lid" that folds up amd tue back/sides.

I have the extra large Cabelas bag. Fantastic bag and tough as nails. Plastic bottom so stuff doesn't get wet sitting on a wet floor. Be warned the big bag is HUGE. I have nearly all of my tackle in this one bag and its all I can do to lift it!! Compartments and nets on the outside to put everything but the kitchen sink. Bought mine on sale over the Christmas holidays. Highly recommend but wish I had bought the next smaller one. This one I leave in the boat most of the time because like I said once you fill it up it is heavy!
