Is there anyone else out there that has a favorite lure they use and already own enough of but still can't resist buying more when you see them on sale? For me that lure is a jerkbait, floating, or suspending it doesn't matter, I'm always picking them up when I see them on a good sale. I know I don't really need anymore but I just love using them and it makes it easier to get them because I do use them they don't just sit in the box. Right now I have 2 dozen Rattlin' Rogues, 12 are floating models and 12 are suspending models, I have a couple of LC pointers, I'm down to 1 Megabass Vision 110, 3 EEratic shads, 3 Lucky E Strike RC STX, 4 Yo-Zuri Jerk-Os, 6 Yo-Zuri Crystal minnows and that is about half. I could keep going but I think I got my point across, and that is I'm really hooked on jerkbaits and the worst par is the jerkbait is my 2nd favorite lure, my favorite is the spinnerbait but I make my own so it doesn't see so bad that I have a hundred or so. I have a friend that is absolutley addicted to soft plastics, he cringes when a new shape or company comes out with something new as he has to buy it, I bet he has enough unopened bags of soft plastics that he can open a small tackle shop and he wouldn't have to order any plastics and I'm not exagerrating. So, is it just me and a friend of mine or are there others who have to buy certain types of baits?

I ran out of Aruko Shads one day on Okeechobee, in the middle of an absolute feeding frenzy on that bait. I swore I'd never run out of them again. The next time TW had a sale on them, I bought 40. Every sale since then I've purchased a couple dozen.

When you're talking about something that is so expansively experimental, like a spinner bait, IS there such a thing as having ... Enough? I go thru a constant stream of different weights, hook sizes and shapes, trailers, skirt colors, shapes and texture combinations as well as inumerable blade shapes, sizes, and color combnations.. I guess there are 20-30 in my box at any given time. I guess I forgot to mention the use of different diameter wires, the numbers of blades and use of beads. I seriously believe this bait is limited only by ones imagination, and drive to experiment. I've gone past buying them, I buy the parts and build the ones that I don't see in stores... And, my hunger for the next never ceases. :eyebrows: I'm glad that this is a healthy addiction!

Squarebills and plastics that I use lots of. Anytime there's a sale on pitbosses, brush hogs, stick o's, or trick worms I'm going to be buying some bags of them.

If my wife didn't have me on a money leash I'm not sure where the stopping point would be. I absolutely love Zoom trick worms, stick baits, and quite recently Strike King's Rage Tails. The latter I'm kinda p/o because I am on a short leash and I'm gonna have to wait to make ordering online worth it. When I go to the fishing isle at wally world or to my favorite local shop, I feel like a kid in the toy section. I usually have something in mind before, but when I get there it's like "Oooh, which do I get?". I have roughly 15 pounds of soft plastics (I weighed my bag) and I couldn't tell you how much in hard plastics. It's like the healthier version of crack or Lay's potato chips ("Betcha can't buy just one lure!").

Well the obvious answer is if I bought another one I didn't have enough. But for me, crankbaits. I don't even know how many tackle boxes I have full of them anymore.

Of course, if anyone is feeling like they have too much and want to get rid of some stuff you can send them to 163..........................

Whatever crankbait that you used last time when it was the last one of that kind you have and now lives on a stump in 15 feet of water...

MIne would have to be the Berkley Frenzy crankbaits. They are discontinued, but every chance I have to buy them, I get every single one. I freaking love the things. BTW, if any of you have any old Frenzy baits sitting in your boxes, PM me and I'll send you the moolah!!

Square bills and swimbaits. The swimbaits I can never have enough of since I go through so many so fast but the squarebills... My old ones work fine and are proven fish catchers but I keep getting new ones. Some times I make a few casts with a new one dont get a bite and put on a old one I been using and just use that even though they are the same exact bait. I went through some tackle today I had all thrown together and it blew my mind what was there after it was sorted all neatly in its own place.

Senkos.

man before i figured in my neck of the woods, dingers caught em the same, i was blowing mad money on watermelon and G pumpkin, the whole month of august i was slaying them in the 1.5 range, heck i was serious thinking if catching them was even worth the cost, then the whole family started fishing, i move to dingers then to the Gander or bps big bags..

Keitech swing impacts. I must have 50 packs of the things but they work so well and are soft so they go bye bye quick when a smallie takes to the air.

Swim jigs also, specifically Lethal Weapons. Locally made in WI, when I find a color and size that's hot, I'll buy 30 or 40 in a crack. Lot of jig stealing pike in our waters!

Zoom trick and finesse worms, and Old Monsters. Any reasonable color. I KNOW I will eventually use them up. Since March, I have gone through about 10 bags of finesse worms...and I keep using them even past the point whre the worm is all torn up...I just bite off the head and re-rig. If I used a fresh worm every time, I'd be up to 40 or 50 bags so far this year.

Only 1 lure and it's discontinued, I have 4 left. A Blaze minnow, maybe a coincidence but nothing produces bass and peacocks better for me than this lure.

I buy crankbaits, especially when I see a good deal. I have a boat and a garage full of cranks....I love 'em. For some reason, I always find Bombers on sale and I just can't pass them up.
