I'm a shore fisherman and a backpack made with fishing in mind would be perfect for walking up and down the shore and, it looks like its got plenty of room and lots of pockets for all miscellaneous stuff. Anyone ever use it and if so any pros or cons?

I have the older yellow one which is pretty much the same as the new, but it's perfect for me and I shore fish most everytime as well. Holds a lot of stuff and easy to carry on your back. My friend has the newer gray one and he loves it as well.

I got the bag in September after asking the members on here about it. I know many of them offered up great reviews and that gave me the confidence to go for it.

No regrets. Lots of storage and well made.

I just recieved mine this week after it being on backorder for a couple of weeks. I am really impressed with it. I was bragging to friends about it and low and behold, it is not on the site anymore. Searched the site high and low for it and it appears to be no longer available! I'm kinda ticked about it because so far, I like this bag more than any other I have found. They still have the Stalker rigging series shown though. But I like the back-pack idea for when I am hitting the farm ponds.

Use each on a regular basis for 6 months and see which one is still in one piece.

The BPS bag lasted 6 months before the seams started splitting and the zippers broke.

The Cabela's bag saw heavy use for 2.5 years, still looks almost new.

When it comes to soft tackle storage, the Cabela's products stand above anything else.

Burley you may be right about soft tackle bags. I have no experience with Cabelas bags. I do have three BPS bags that I am very well pleased with though.

It is your statement that "Cabelas products are consistently higher quality than anything BPS sells," that I take issue with. I think Calelas is a fine store, and I have bought a lot of high quality stuff from them through the years. Their customer service is excellent. I can say the exact same thing about BPS.

it's hit or miss man, my cabelas bag only lasted 4 trips until the strap ripped off.  ::)

I have the stalker, and I love it. Only problem is, as big as the bag is, I still have way too much stuff to fit in it...

I've got a BPS backpack tackle bag that I love.  It fits a TON of stuff (almost too much to comfortably carry) and I haven't had a single issue with it in 2 years of use.

Yeah I've had mine for a while now and I've never had a problem with anything about it. Even have the double sided worm binder and no problems at all with it. Had it for a little over a year now and even though I didn't get it use it at all over the summer, I do use it quite a bit and am not easy with it. I do believe bad lemons exist though obviously.
